Great low cost way to get into a Porsche Speedster Replica.  Divorce forces sale of this and other Porsche Collection.  This replica was purchased a few years ago by the current owner, who had been restoring and maintaining his own personal Porsches for many years.  While he had owned many 356s, he had never had a chance at a Speedster, so a few years ago he found this little replica.  What struck him (and most people) is that with the paint faded etc, the car looks much like an original barn find Speedster upon first glance.  In fact, since its been in my shop, I have had many people come in excited wanting to know where I turned up an original barn find Speedster!   Of course upon closer inspection, it is evident that it is an older replica, but I have to say, it fools many people, especially when out driving on the streets.  Anyway, back to the condition.  This is a solid car that can be driven as it is or improved, depending on what you are after.  The cosmetics are faded and worn, but recently it has had much done mechanically and underneath the skin.  Its running a freshly rebuilt 1776cc VW engine with new heads, carbs and much  more.  It has new tires on original Porsche 356 wheels.  Most of the trim is Porsche 356 trim including the headlights, turn signals, etc.  The floor pan was recently completely replaced professionally, and finally the seats were reupholstered.  What is left to be done?  If it were me, I would probably do the brakes which seem to now need attention, and some carpet and small items in the interior would go a long way to making this really turn heads.  Remember, this is a NO RESERVE auction.  This car will be sold and must be sold, so please bid to own and be a serious buyer.  Please email with any questions.
