Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my extremely clean, low mile and all original 1974 Nova 4 door sedan. This car was purchased in Redlands California new in 1974 by a retired school teacher who passed it on to her brother when she died in 1995. He passed away shortly after receiving the Nova and his wife, who did not drive, hung on to the Nova as a keepsake until she passed away in 2002. She passed it on to her son who kept the Nova garaged and drove it sparingly. After it came from California to Tucson, Arizona in 1995, it was always serviced at the same shop called Milex and there is a sticker in the engine compartment with their contact information on it. The carburetor was just rebuilt on the car. It runs and drives very well and I see no reason why it wouldn't make a long road trip. It's not a hot rod, but a cruiser. It does not smoke or leak any fluids. It will occasionally start hard when it is cold, but that's pretty normal for older cars. The AC still blows cold and has not been converted to R134. Tires all look to be in great shape but I do not know the age of the tires. The car is complete and all trim and chrome are in outstanding condition. The paint is now going on 42 years old and is not perfect but still is very presentable. There is some Arizona sunburn on the top, hood and deck lid mainly but not bad enough to go through the paint and I would NOT repaint this car as the originality of the car is what makes it so special. Everything works on the car including the AM radio which sounds great. All lights, horn, blinkers, dash lights, high beams, door buzzers and wipers work as they should. All gauges work except the fuel gauge which works intermittently. It may need a sending unit but works enough to let you know when you need gas. All windows roll up and down perfectly, doors all lock and open/close effortlessly. There is no rust ANYWHERE on this car. The original jack, jacking instructions, tools and owner's manual are in their appropriate places and in great condition. The interior is in amazing shape and very clean. The original owner's dog chewed through the carpet in two places on the driver's side and caused two small tears in the driver's door panel (see pics) but there is no evidence of dog hair in the car so it must have had short hair or she cleaned up after it very well. Non-smoker. The car is truly a time capsule and a rare find. I know it's a four door, but look at the prices of the Novas as they continue to climb out of sight. This is a great opportunity to pick up super clean Nova that will certainly continue to climb in value, for very reasonable money. You can drive and show this car just the way it is and it gets tons of attention every time I take it out. It would make a great family cruiser or grocery getter. Check the pictures and check my feedback and bid with confidence. I can keep the Nova garaged for a reasonable period of time to allow buyers to arrange shipping if need be. I do reserve the right to end the auction early as I may be advertising it in other media and it could sell at anytime. If the reserve is met then I will not sell it elsewhere. I do require a $500 deposit payable through Paypal within 24 hours of the auctions close. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. If you need additional pictures I would be happy to send them your way. As with any older car, this Nova is sold "as is" with no warranty either expressed or implied. Good luck!!
