History: I found this Bronco at an estate sale and couldn't resist buying it because of its low miles, original condition, and the easy life it appears to have had. I ran a history report on the Bronco before I bought and it has been in Arizona its whole life. It Started Life in Phoenix and has been in Prescott AZ since 1998. Prescott has a mild climate and I really doubt the previous owner put it to any hard use. It was owned by an older gentleman and had handicapped plates on it when I bought it. I was told that he was a "Ford man" and had it serviced by ford (I have no proof of that other than a few Ford dealer oil change and safety check receipts). It has no rust issues and is very clean inside, outside, and underneath. It is almost completely stock with the only real changes being 31" tires and an aftermarket stereo. I have owned several Broncos (currently have 3) and I can tell you honestly that although it is not perfect, it is in better overall shape than many you are likely to find. If you have looked at several already then you know what I am talking about. Also, if you are a fan of Broncos you probably know that 1996 was the last year they were made. A clean 1995 with only 140k+/- miles is fairly hard to find and almost as "new" as you can get. I have owned it for about 3 months, and probably put less than 500 miles on it. I have enjoyed cleaning it up a little and the experience of remembering what a nice "stock" bronco feels like to drive. It is very smooth and quiet at highway speed with plenty of power. It feels like a four wheel drive Cadillac floating down the road. My daily driver is a 96 bronco so I have a fairly good point of reference. With 3 broncos and a 2 car garage, I need to sell one and have decided to let this one go. I don't like to have one sitting outside. New or Almost New Parts: Battery, Starter, Water Pump, Thermostat (195 degree as it came with), Harmonic Balancer (the old one was showing its age with cracked rubber), Temperature Gauge Sending Unit, Distributor Cap and Rotor, Spark Plug Wires, Spark Plugs, Idle Air Control Solenoid, Headlight lenses and bulbs (the old ones were a little tired and yellow), Brand New Premium Manual Locking hubs (One of the original locking hubs had frozen from lack of use and I wanted something more reliable), probably a few more new parts that I am forgetting. Mechanical: I believe this truck to be very solid overall mechanically. When I first bought the Bronco, I pulled all the spark plugs out to look at since they are a good indicator of the engines overall health and any big problems. The old plugs had obviously been in it a long time but were in extremely good shape and all very uniform from one plug to the next. No deposits of any kind other than a very light tan color that indicates the right fuel mixture (I have a picture if you are interested). The oil had just been changed before I bought and It has stayed crystal clear and hasn't used a drop that I can tell. (This bronco also has not leaked a drop of anything on the floor the whole time I've had it) The engine idles well, goes down the road quietly and smoothly, and has lots of power ( it will easily out accelerate my 96 daily driver). As one of the last years the Bronco was made, it also came with a 351 Windsor "roller motor" which means it came from the factory with a roller type cam and roller lifters. This is the strongest engine the Bronco was ever offered with and roller lifters reduce friction which boosts power and helps to increase the life of the cam and timing chain. The transmission shifts smoothly and crisply and the button to turn the overdrive off works as it should including the indicator light. The electronic push button transfer case has high and low range and shifts quickly and solidly into both. The 4x4 indicator lights work as well and can be seen in the last picture with several images that I couldn't otherwise fit. The Brakes feel good and the Bronco stops well and stops straight with 4 wheel antilock. Going down the road, there are no strange vibrations or noises. The steering is tight and the bronco does not wander around in the lane. The heat and defrost work and the AC blows cold and strong. All the power windows work well and go up and down quickly including the tailgate window. Both switches for the tailgate window work (dash and key switch at tailgate). Power locks, all gauges, cruise control, rear window defrost, and stereo all work. Stereo is just a basic radio and CD player (I have never tried the CD player). Basically everything that I can think of on the bronco works. If I have forgotten to mention something and you want to know, ask. The Bronco does not have any check engine lights and has not had any check engine lights while I have had it. Tires: When I first got the Bronco, the tires had a good wear pattern on the tread but they were older and had cracks from age that I didn't want to drive with on the highway. I replaced them with a used set of 31x10.50x15 all terrains that are in almost new condition. They are all terrains but they are oriented more towards street and winter driving than hard off road use. Interior: The carpet, upholstery, and headliner are all in very good shape for their age. The drivers side rear of the carpet by the tailgate has a small bleached spot that you can see in the pictures. There were a few stains in the carpet when I got it and they all came out for the most part after some steam cleaning and it looks very good overall now. The back seat and passenger side seat are in great condition as you can see from the pictures. The drivers seat bottom cushion shows some wear but there are no rips or tears, just normal wear from age. The last picture (the one with multiple images) shows a photo of the drivers seat cushion in the bottom left but the wear is minimal enough that it doesn't show up well in the photo. The dash has 2 small cracks under the mat (also on the last picture towards the top center). Body and Paint: The Paint and body look very good overall. Especially considering this is a 20 year old four wheel drive. Please look at the pictures closely and judge for yourself. Even though the history report shows no accidents, I was told that parts had been repainted. I believe that the tailgate and passenger side have been repainted and the rest is factory paint. The color match is good and the paint shines up well. I can tell that the repainted areas were done several years ago and that the few flaws I will describe are stable and not getting any worse. The only significant flaws that catch your attention are on the tailgate, the passenger side just below the side mirror, and the passenger side just above the rear wheel. They did not show up well in the main pictures so I attached closeups of the flaws. The tailgate has been repaired in the past and had what appeared to be cracks in some body filler material near the spare tire carrier latch. Its fairly common on broncos for someone to back into something, hit it with the spare tire and dent the tailgate in this area. I made a small metal cover to go over the cracked area, painted it with touch up paint, and attached it with flexible adhesive under the tire mount latch in order to hide the cracks and make sure they don't get any worse (see before and after pictures). On the passenger side just under the mirror there also appears to be a crack in what looks to be body filler. I have been over it several times with the electric buffer which vibrates a lot and the crack hasn't changed or moved. I think it is very stable and probably won't get any worse. I sealed the edge of the crack with clear acrylic adhesive caulk to make sure it is stable and then used touch up paint (see Photo). Above the rear wheel well there are a series of small "c shaped" scratches. I am not a paint and body expert and I can't tell in this case if there is any body filler or if they are just scratches (see Pictures). Overall, the passenger side and tailgate paint isn't as good as factory but still very shiny and presentable. I am picky though and a lot of people probably wouldn't notice these flaws unless they were looking the truck over closely. Again, please look at the pictures and decide for yourself. The clearcoat is in good shape everywhere with no signs of peeling other than the very top of the cab. I'm 5'11 and I cant see it standing next to the Bronco. Most people would never notice since you cant really see it unless you are above the Bronco. The paint on the removable top is in good overall shape for its age but is a little thin and faded on the very top where you can't see standing next to it (see pictures). The VIN tag shows the color of the Bronco to be EG= "Electric Currant Red Metallic". Common rust areas for these Broncos are the tops of the wheel wells, the bottom of the doors, the bottom of the tailgate, and the drip rails at the top of the B pillars above the doors. This Bronco does not have any problems with rust. Please see the photos of these areas and also the photos of the undercarriage which show how clean this Bronco is underneath. The underneath has also been degreased and pressure washed. *DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME CHANGE MAY TAKE EFFECT IN YOUR AREA ON THE DAY THE AUCTION ENDS. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS IF YOU PLAN TO BID AT THE LAST MINUTE. Payment: A NON REFUNDABLE Paypal deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of the auction end. If you do not make this deposit on time, I will assume you are not going to be able to buy the bronco and I will relist it on Ebay. Full Payment is due within 7 days of auction end. You may pay by cashiers check from a major U.S. Bank, Electronic Funds Transfer to My Bank, Cash Deposit into my back account at a local branch in your area, or by Cash in person. The Bronco and Title will not be released to you until I have ACTUAL GREEN CASH IN MY HANDS. That means if you plan to pay by Cashiers Check, funds transfer, etc, PLAN AHEAD. Until my bank tells me that the funds have cleared and I can withdraw them as cash, the Bronco will not be released. Some banks have a waiting period even for Cashiers Checks. The Bronco Must be picked up within 10 days of Auction end unless I agree in writing to allow longer (I want to be reasonable and helpful but please plan ahead). Shipping: Shipping is entirely the buyers responsibility and buyers expense. I will be happy to meet a shipper in or near Prescott Valley Arizona 86314. If you plan to ship the bronco, please plan ahead and start talking to shippers immediately as arrangements can take a while. I feel confident the Bronco will drive to wherever you might live but unless you live reasonably close I recommend you consider having it shipped. By the time you factor in the expense of a plane ticket, Fuel costs, nights in a hotel, wear and tear on the truck, you might be ahead to have it show up at your door with no big effort on your part for the same amount of money. THIS IS A 20 YEAR OLD VEHICLE AND ALTHOUGH I BELIEVE IT TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE, IT IS BEING SOLD AS-IS. Price: Please do not ask me what my reserve price is. Please bid only what you are willing and able to pay. I have watched these Broncos on Ebay for a while and while this Bronco is nicer than many, it is not as nice as some. I am looking for what I believe to be a realistic amount. I have seen Broncos similar to this one go for over 10k and the only thing I will tell you as far as the price or reserve amount is that I am willing to let it go for less than that. I want it to go to a good home and I want to deal with a buyer who is honest and communicates well. I reserve the right to end the auction early and to sell the Bronco locally.
