One of a kind. 1965 1/2 ton deluxe sport van with manual four speed transmission. Sits on a 1500 frame with a half ton 230 in.³ high torque engine. About $1500 in parts have been purchased last two years. We bought this vehicle on eBay and the listing was not honest. My wife and I have made this a vehicle fun to drive we just have too many vehicles now. We won two vehicles in one week on eBay but only need one project at a time. The death of our Great Dane leave us only small dogs so a large van is not needed. She loves the vans but has a hard time shifting with the gear being on the floor. I am 6 foot 2" and love it. She jokes as though it looks like I'm reaching for a gun under the seat when I'm shifting. This van halls ass even uphill. Tons of work done including; new tires all around only about 300 miles ago, new gas lines and hoses, rebuilt carburetor, new alternator, new fan belt, new battery, ignition, headlights, tons of wiring but can use more, flushed in sealed radiator, cargo style back with bed so back frame comes out but was used in the sixties by traveling tools sales person. That's why 1500 frame. The paint job on it is about two years old, others say it looks great but think it's just. Chevelle blue with white, the brown/tan interior are colors from the previous life. Was used by traveling sales person in Wyoming for a couple years been sat in a barn it reads 51,000 miles. Extremely little rust for van this age. You don't Sportvan around, especially in good running condition. Definitely turns heads and is perfect the Scooby Doo. I wife loves it but has a hard time shifting with the gear shifter being on the floor. On Oct-22-15 at 08:31:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I added some photos of under the van to show lack of rust. Remember it's 50 years old. Two more in San Diego that we have seen one non running piece sold for $2800 and a nice running one for $9,500. We are a great buy somewhere in the middle. The placement of the engine was not th best idea, because it does get warm, but at an average of 1,000 miles a year it's fun as can be. Looks like engine vent it brand new. I also see newer shocks. Does not leak anywhere.
