NO RESERVE!!! Nice Winter Project for auction. Very cheap opportunity to own a piece of history. Buick Classic cars are very unique beginning from the way you start the car. To start, you just turn the key to on and press the gas pedal to actuate starter. It also has a front heated seat! Up for auction is a complete and original 1955 Buick Special 2dr hardtop. It has a running 264 nailhead V8 and 2 speed auto. It has new: plugs, wires, coil, battery, cap, rotor, points, starter solenoid. The brakes do not currently work and the gas tank is out of the car so it will have to be towed. The tank was boiled and painted. The seats are new. The car is complete and needs a total restoration. It needs body work including floors, rockers, lower quarter patches between wheel well and door, and trunk. The frame is rusted through so I am also including a rust free rolling chassis that has been painted black. The chassis also has a new front suspension kit from PST installed ($350) and new front and rear coil springs($400). I was planning on transferring the body to the new chassis this winter but don't have time. Also have all new brake shoes,wheel cylinders, hardware and brake lines. This project will make a great car that is much more affordable then a 1955 1956 1957 Chevy. Many extra parts. Feel free to call/text/email any questions. I'm trying to be as clear as possible so there's no confusion. As with most 60 year old cars, rust is an issue. As previously mentioned, it needs floors, trunk, rockers and lower quarter panel patches. The trunk lid also is soft at the lip and will Need to be replaced/repaired. Passenger door also needs some attention. I have new brakes for it but they aren't installed yet. If you're in the area, I'll be available Saturday and encourage anyone to come take a look at it.
