Vehicle Detail
please read the description carefully. I will be extremely candid with vehicle condition and I hope you would appreciate the honesty. This is a 44 years old car with no warranty in any form or shape. It is sold as it is and upon bidding you are buying the vehicle as is. Here we go. I bought this coupe on eBay 2 years ago from Santa Monica, CA. I have spent a lot of money on transmission, suspension and in the engine compartment. I moved out to an apartment and I am not allowed to work on it anymore. Unfortunately, I could not finish the project and I have to let it go. I have to park it on the curb and it breaks my heart seeing it sitting it alone. I am sure some would understand. Anyways... The engine is in good shape and the transmission was rebuilt last year by Sun Valley Transmission (World Famous). It has 400 miles on the new transmission. The vehicle has rust. So be prepared to work on it. The seats are in good shape. It is an excellent project vehicle so It needs paint and interior needs to be worked on. The suspension is completely overhauled and the breaks are fine tuned. Here is the list of parts replaced: 1- Brand new Weber carburetors (Two for $899) - The original Zenith are headaches and cost a lot to maintain. 2- Brand new NOS exhaust system ($700)3- Brand new tires (less than 100 miles on them) ($300)4- 4 brand new custom slotted disk brakes with ceramic pads ($350)5- Rebuilt transmission done by the world famous Sun Valley Transmission (+$1500)6- The suspension is rebuilt with original OEM Febi-Bilstein components ($450) If you are bidding on this particular vehicle you should know that parts are extremely cheap despite the perception. There is an outfit here in Ventura county which can mach all the interior with the original ones based on the VIN number. If you drive it on the street, you would wish all these new tin cans on the wheel would ride like this. I have purchased a 3.07 rear axle (from 1980 diesel model) so that you can decrease RPM on the freeway and cruise. The original one comes with 3.79. My gift to the buyer! As far payment, you are obligated upon winning the bid to pay a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of the winning and pick up the vehicle ASAP no longer than a week. Just renewed the registration till 2016.
