This Chevrolet has 177,283 miles and is being sold, AS IS with NO RESERVE so we do not have to re-list. We hold clear title. This Chevrolet is being auctioned by the Woodridge Illinois Police Department. The history of this vehicle is unknown as it was abandoned at our police department following a traffic-stop arrest that occurred on September 20th, 2014. Following the arrest this Chevrolet was stored outdoors until it was awarded to us on July 28th, 2015, by court order. We will attempt to describe this vehicle to the best of our ability and you may inspect the vehicle, in person, by appointment. This Chevrolet has bad brakes and THE BUYER WILL NEED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED. This vehicle is in poor condition. The body has scratches, dents, rust, faded paint, missing and broken trim. The driver’s door does not unlock from the outside and the rear doors do not open. There is fluid on bottom of the engine. See photos. The interior is filthy, sticky and smells bad. The leather seats are cracked and ripped. There is broken and missing trim. It is unknown if all of the windows roll up and down or what accessories work and do not work. See photos. The Chevrolet had to be jumpstarted and then the engine stayed running on its own. The brakes are bad and can only stop the Chevrolet at very slow speed. THE BUYER WILL NEED TO HAVE THE CHEVROLET TOWED. The power steering makes a squealing noise. There may be other mechanical issues. The buyer will need to have this Chevrolet inspected/serviced by a qualified mechanic before use. See photos. The NADA listed value for this 1997 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LT 4WD is $700 for “Rough Trade-In”, $1,375 for "Average Trade-In” and $1,925 for "Clean Trade-In”. We would put this vehicle in less than “Rough” condition but it is always recommended that you inspect the vehicle and make your own assessments before bidding.
