The Dodge Colt was a collaborative captive import between Chrysler and Mitsubishi meant to compete with the fuel sipping Japanese cars that were quickly gaining popularity in the United States in the mid-1970's. Originally assembled in Kurashiki, Okayama, Japan as the Mitsubishi Galant, and badged as the Dodge Colt in the U.S., it was a huge hit as soon as it hit American shores. We just purchased this Colt from the previous older Washington State owner and as you can tell it was his pride and joy for sure !! It was bought BRAND NEW at Northside Dodge, Inc. in Spokane, Washington on March 21, 1977 as seen on the original warranty information booklet and has been in that area until we recently brought the car to Idaho. You can now own a VERY NICE Classic Dodge Colt that is getting VERY hard to find and only has 39,741 ACTUAL - ORIGINAL MILES since it was brand new according to the previous owner however we don't really have have any way to prove it. Just look at this thing though !! 1977 was the LAST and BEST year of the 2nd generation Colts and they tell me it's the year to have !! This Colt also still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - dash mounted Dodge VIN tag - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door jamb mounted Dodge data plate - FACTORY ORIGINAL - right inner fender mounted Mitsubishi engine data plate - ORIGINAL - 1977 Colt operating instructions manual - ORIGINAL - emission system manual - ORIGINAL - Colt consumer information pamphlet and the ORIGINAL - Chrysler warranty information booklet, all of which are shown in several pictures below, TOO COOL !! What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low !! This has been a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Washington State - Idaho High Mountain Desert - western vehicle it's whole life and boy does it show !! The motor also still retains it's ORIGINAL intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifold, ORIGINAL valve cover, ORIGINAL air cleaner housing and it's ORIGINAL carburetor, Etc... . Sounds good too with the factory style exhaust system. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - "TorqueFlite" - three speed automatic transmission which also functions very well. The BEAUTIFUL - FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - Black Vinyl with Faux Wood Grain accents, bucket seat interior is in NICE condition with NICE ORIGINAL Black Vinyl reclining front bucket seats with factory headrests showing some imperfections, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Matching Black Vinyl door panels, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Colt steering wheel, Good ORIGINAL Black vinyl dash pad with several small cracks and some warping, NICE ORIGINAL Black carpeting, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black and Faux Wood Grain dash, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Factory gauge clusters, Good ORIGINAL Black Vinyl rear bench seat that is showing some imperfections, Good ORIGINAL White vinyl headliner showing some separation, NICE ORIGINAL White Vinyl sun visors and the VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black and Faux Wood Grain accented shifter center console. This Dodge Colt Coupe has great looks and smooth power, too ! The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. The Dodge Colt was a collaborative captive import between Chrysler and Mitsubishi meant to compete with the fuel sipping Japanese cars that were quickly gaining popularity in the United States in the mid-1970's. Originally assembled in Kurashiki, Okayama, Japan as the Mitsubishi Galant, and badged as the Dodge Colt in the U.S., it was a huge hit as soon as it hit American shores. We just purchased this Colt from the previous older Washington State owner and as you can tell it was his pride and joy for sure !! It was bought BRAND NEW at Northside Dodge, Inc. in Spokane, Washington on March 21, 1977 as seen on the original warranty information booklet and has been in that area until we recently brought the car to Idaho. You can now own a VERY NICE Classic Dodge Colt that is getting VERY hard to find and only has 39,741 ACTUAL - ORIGINAL MILES since it was brand new according to the previous owner however we don't really have have any way to prove it. Just look at this thing though !! 1977 was the LAST and BEST year of the 2nd generation Colts and they tell me it's the year to have !!
