THIS CLASSIC MERCEDES CONVERTIBLE LOOKS, RUNS & DRIVES GOOD!
THE 5.6L-V8 ENGINE STARTS EASILY AND RUNS GOOD WITH NO EXHAUST SMOKE. IT DOES HAVE THE NORMAL OIL SEEPAGE OF A CAR OF THIS AGE, BUT NO DRIPS OR PUDDLES. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY BETWEEN GEARS, BUT CLUNKS ON ENGAGEMENT FROM "PARK" TO A DRIVE GEAR. IT DOES NOT SLIP THOUGH. THE CAR DRIVES GOOD OVERALL.
THE BODY IS STRAIGHT AND SOLID. THE CHROME TRIM LOOKS GOOD, AS DO THE BUMPERS AND EURO HEADLIGHTS.
THE CARFAX SHOWS NO ACCIDENTS, BUT DOES SAY THAT THIS CAR HAS AN ODOMETER DISCREPANCY. THE TRUE MILES ARE UNKNOWN (TMU). THE TITLE STATES "NOT ACTUAL" UNDER THE ODOMETER BRAND.
THIS 560SL IS MOSTLY ORIGINAL ASIDE FROM THE AFTERMARKET AUDIO SYSTEM AND THE NICE SHEEP SKIN SEAT COVERS.
THE GOLD PAINT IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THERE ARE MINOR CHIPS AND SCRATCHES HERE, BUT NOTHING THAT NOTICEABLE. THERE AND A FEW AREAS OF MINOR DISCOLORATION ON TOP, BUT OVERALL THE PAINT LOOKS GOOD AND THERE IS NO RUST ON THE BODY.
THE INTERIOR OF THIS 560SL IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THE DOOR PANELS, HEADLINER, CARPET, FLOOR MATS, DASH, CENTER CONSOLE, WOOD TRIM ALL LOOK GOOD! THERE ARE SOME NORMAL CRACKS IN THE WOOD TRIM AND SOME LOOSE CHROME TRIM ON THE SEATS. THE ONLY INTERIOR ISSUE OF NOTE IS THAT THE FRONT SEATS HAVE SOME LEATHER CREASING AND THERE IS A RIP ALONG THE SEAM ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT.
THE MATCHING HARDTOP LOOKS GOOD INSIDE AND OUT AND THE SOFTTOP LOOKS HARDLY USED!
ALL THE SEALS ON THE DOORS, DOOR OPENINGS, CONVERTIBLE TOPS AND THE TRUNK ARE IN GOOD CONDITION!
THE POWER WINDOWS WORK GOOD, BUT THE POWER ANTENNA DOES NOT MOVE. THE SONY AM/FM/CD PLAYER WORKS GOOD. THE HEAT WORKS GOOD AS DOES THE BLOWER. THE A/C DOES NOT BLOW COLD.
