Normal.dotm 0 0 1 295 1682 Curran Group, Inc. 14 3 2065 12.0 0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false 1982 Fiat Spider 2000Rosso Corsa red paint (closely matches Ferrari Rosso Corsa FER 300/6), tan interior and tan convertible top and boot. Restoration completed in 2005 with over $14,000 in receipts (included all new interior, new short block, exhaust, suspension, brakes, paint, etc.) Extensive service records and receipts from ’99 to present. This was a Tampa, FL car until my Dad purchased the car in 2006. He enjoyed and maintained it until he passed away from cancer in 2011. I’ve enjoyed and maintained the car since then, and have had any necessary work performed to ensure it continues to look, stop, steer, handle, start, and run as well or better than when my Dad had it. I put new tires on it, had the brakes, steering, and suspension worked on to ensure they were safe and reliable, and I replaced multiple ignition components. (The ignition pickup went bad so I replaced the ignition module, pickup, coil, plugs, wires, and cap and rotor to ensure that it would start and run dependably every time.) The car starts without hesitation, runs very well, and handles and stops as it should. The only mechanical issue I’m aware of is that the gear shift will pop out of second gear if you let off the gas (we just hold it until third) but I’ll discount for this. The convertible top works well, does not leak, and has a very clear rear window – but it does have some mildew staining from a car cover that developed a leak. (I’ll discount for this as well.) It’s not a concourse-level car (the paint and bodywork are good – not “perfect”), but it is a very good driver and looker as demonstrated in the photographs. The panels and underside of the car show no rust, and a magnet will stick to any area of every panel on the car – including the wheel arches, lower rockers, and the rear lower quarter panels. (One of the most recent mechanics said it was the cleanest undercarriage he’d ever seen on a Fiat.) Includes full factory shop/service manual, car covers, various accessories, and large volume of service records and receipts.Current Values: Hagerty shows a #2 car at $13,700, and NADA shows "Average Retail" at $13,650. "Average Retail" is defined as: "This vehicle would be in good condition overall. It could be an older restoration or a well-maintained original vehicle. Completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. A ‘20-footer’." The NADA "High Retail" is $26,800, while Hagerty's #1 car is $19,000. I have set my reserve to consider the NADA and Hagerty values with a significant reduction to reflect if the buyer wanted the transmission rebuilt and also wished to completely replace the convertible top (not that either are necessary - but just in case).A $500.00 deposit is required via PayPal within 48 hours of agreeing to purchase this vehicle. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining purchase price for the vehicle must be paid for in person with a cashier's check or cash and the seller will have to verify the authenticity of a cashier's check with the issuing bank. The seller will sign the title over to the buyer in the presence of the buyer and two copies of a bill of sale will be completed for both the seller and buyer's records. The seller warranties nothing about this vehicle other than the photos are of the current condition of the car, the description is as accurate as possible, and that the car's title is clear and the vehicle is for sale. The sale of the vehicle is final once signed over to the buyer and there is no "return policy". Any sales tax, fees, etc. are the responsibility of the buyer. I can deliver the car within a few hours of Chicago, IL if desired and agreed upon prior to the sale.Life's too short to drive boring cars!
