As you can imagine these are getting EXTREMELY hard to find, especially in this BEAUTIFUL - RESTORED condition. The 1959 Ford Galaxie was named the "Most Beautifully Proportioned Car" in the world at the Brussels World Fair. It was a STUNNING body style in 1959 and still is some 56 years later !! We just purchased this BEAUTY from the previous 76 year old Idaho owner who had lovingly owned and meticulously maintained this BEAUTY for the last 39 years ! and as you can clearly see in the pictures this was his pride and joy for sure !! He told us that the 56,396 miles on the odometer are the ACTUAL - ORIGINAL miles and he had known the car since it was brand new as he bought the car from the original owner who was his boss / owner of the wrecking yard he had worked at when he was young. I say RARE because only 45,868 Sunliner Convertibles were built in 1959 and was the FIRST year of the Galaxie model name, and they tell me it's the year to have !! What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low ! This car is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Idaho high mountain desert - western vehicle and boy does it show !! I drove this car for several days as my everyday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and it ran and drove GREAT !! It still retains it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Ford driver's door pillar mounted data plate and it's - ORIGINAL - 1959 Ford owner's manual, both of which are shown pictures below. If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come take a look at and drive this car for yourself !! THIS IS A QAULITY CAR FOR SURE !!This BEAUTY still retains its VERY STRONG !! - APPEARS ORIGINAL - OPTIONAL - CODE "B" - 332 CID "Thunderbird Special" - Interceptor V8 motor ( 225 horsepower / 325 ft/lb of torque from the factory !! ) and it is running very well indeed !! The motor still retains its ORIGINAL intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL "Ford" scripted valve covers, ORIGINAL carburetor and the ORIGINAL "Thunderbird Special Interceptor V8" scripted air cleaner housing. The engine has less than 10K miles on it since it had a "down to the bare block" complete rebuild !! The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - Code "4" - "Cruise-O-Matic" - three speed automatic transmission which also functions very well. The transmission also has less than 10K miles on it since it was completly rebuilt !! Sounds GREAT too with the "throaty" true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. As you can imagine these are getting EXTREMELY hard to find, especially in this BEAUTIFUL - RESTORED condition. The 1959 Ford Galaxie was named the "Most Beautifully Proportioned Car" in the world at the Brussels World Fair. It was a STUNNING body style in 1959 and still is some 56 years later !! We just purchased this BEAUTY from the previous 76 year old Idaho owner who had lovingly owned and meticulously maintained this BEAUTY for the last 39 years ! and as you can clearly see in the pictures this was his pride and joy for sure !! He told us that the 56,396 miles on the odometer are the ACTUAL - ORIGINAL miles and he had known the car since it was brand new as he bought the car from the original owner who was his boss / owner of the wrecking yard he had worked at when he was young. I say RARE because only 45,868 Sunliner Convertibles were built in 1959 and was the FIRST year of the Galaxie model name, and they tell me it's the year to have !! What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low ! This car is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Idaho high mountain desert - western vehicle and boy does it show !! I drove this car for several days as my everyday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and it ran and drove GREAT !! This BEAUTY still retains its VERY STRONG !! - APPEARS ORIGINAL - OPTIONAL - CODE "B" - 332 CID "Thunderbird Special" - Interceptor V8 motor ( 225 horsepower / 325 ft/lb of torque from the factory !! ) and it is running very well indeed !! The motor still retains its ORIGINAL intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL "Ford" scripted valve covers, ORIGINAL carburetor and the ORIGINAL "Thunderbird Special Interceptor V8" scripted air cleaner housing. The engine has less than 10K miles on it since it had a "down to the bare block" complete rebuild !! The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - Code "4" - "Cruise-O-Matic" - three speed automatic transmission which also functions very well.
