Vehicle Detail
This 1969 Torino GT may appear scruffy, but take a closer look and you will notice that the body is straight and rust-free. It is also fitted with the M-code 351 four-barrel. That was Ford's most powerful small block option in '69. The engine runs well and has lots of torque. The Autolite carb is original to the car, but I'll throw in a Holley I picked up for it. I'm guessing that the odometer has rolled over once, but the car does seem very original and complete so you never know. Luckily, this mid-size has the optional front disc brakes so with the power assist steering and brakes, it's an enjoyable cruiser. The steering is a little vague though so I'm guessing it would benefit from some new bushings and ball joints. The tires are older, but have plenty of tread. All the trim is there except for the chrome strip on the trunk. There is some crash damage on the driver's side corner, but it's limited to the taillight housing. A replacement is included. The transmission shifts as it should, but the steering column linkage could probably use some adjusting. It is more of an annoyance than anything else. As mentioned, the pant is faded, but it polished up nicely and sure catches people's attention. The vinyl top and headliner are new. The interior is in good shape with some wear and the carpet is faded. The dash pad doesn't have any cracks though. We have addressed many of the smaller issues in order to make this car a dependable driver. It has been featured a few times on BarnFinds.com and should make for an affordable and fun project. You could leave the exterior alone while focusing on the mechanicals and saving up for a paint job. It should say, "Great alternative to more expensive mid-size muscle cars". On Sep-12-15 at 10:03:52 PDT, seller added the following information: We took the Torino drag racing last night. It performed great, but the same can't be said for me. Check it out: http://barnfinds.com/we-took-the-torino-drag-racing/
