2007 FORD MUSTANG GT/CS!! CALIFORNIA SPECIAL!! ONLY 1306 PRODUCED IN PERFORMANCE WHITE!! ONLY 49,767 MILES!! On April 16th, 1964 at 9:30 pm on channels ABC, CBS, and NBC, Ford Motor Corporation aired a commercial introducing the 1964 ½ Ford Mustang. It was the most successful automobile launch of all time. It created such frenzy at the dealerships the next day, everyone wanted to be the first to own the new Mustang. For those that couldn’t afford to buy one or were too young to drive, they actually went to see it in person at the World’s Fair in New York. You couldn’t get any more American than the Mustang. It was a family sports car that had it all. Bucket seats, floor shifter and large enough to seat 4 but small enough to be a great looking sports car. Lee Iacocca listened, watched and learned what America needed and challenged his designers and engineers to build a car that fit around the American lifestyle. The launch of the Mustang was so successful that it sold 22,000 units the very next day after the commercial aired. For the 7 or so months left in 1964, Ford had sold over 263,000 units and nearly doubled that in 1965 by selling more than 418,000 units. By 1966 over 607,000 Mustangs were produced and sold breaking the million mark after only 18 months since its debut. It was certain that Mustang was here to stay and assured us that this car would never get side tracked from its original intent. From 1964 to present, Mustang stayed true to its heritage and offered its owners a silent, unspoken membership to a club known around the world that no matter what year, what size engine or how cool it sounded you would always own a piece of Automotive History. The California Special GT Mustang offered here today is a link back to 1968, when the GT/CS first started. It was a rare production run back in the day where it was separated from the herd and it symbolizes that California was a state that "made it happen." The California Special officially returned in 2007 and segregated itself once again from the herd from just a plain GT by offering the $1900 upgrade making this a limited production appearance package. Thank you for visiting. Exterior: As you can see from the photos, the exterior presents itself in excellent condition. It is not perfect and there is very little road wear present from its 49k miles of use. There is a minor chip on the lip of the front hood. The wheels have very little corrosion marks in certain places but do present very well. All the glass, marker lights and signals are in excellent condition and all in working order. All the decals are in perfect condition and the tires are fairly new. The body panels are free of any rust or dings and are straight and true. The car has a clean CARFAX and was never in any accidents. Please review the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have. Interior: As you can see from the pictures the interior presents as new as you're going to get with 49k miles on it. No signs of wear on the dash, door panels, carpets, headliner and seats. It comes with the Shaker sound system with factory subwoofer in the trunk. All the bells and whistles work including ice cold A/C. Included in the sale of the car is all the books and manuals as seen in photos. The interior of this car is in absolutely gorgeous condition and is in show or go quality. It’s married to an automatic transmission and a posi rear. Also complete with the car is a 100,000 mile power train warranty that is transferable to the new owner. All the belts, hoses, tires, brakes and suspension are in tip-top condition and are ready for any trip you have in mind. The car runs and drives beautiful and has plenty of power.
