1953 Chevrolet pickup complete with a fully rebuilt frame ready for body to start being assembled on. TRUCK - Body is complete - engine does not run - it is missing the intake and exhaust manifolds.(see pictures) Body is in fair to rough condition. Bed is in fair to OK condition. Tailgate is in fair to good condition. I have the seat that is complete, but of course the original padding is in bad condition. There is a new wiring harness for some part of the truck, but I do not know where it would be used. (engine harness I am assuming). Original 3-speed transmission is in the truck and connected to the engine. Doors open, close and latch properly. Windows roll up and down properly. Original spare tire carrier with a 1953 wheel is mounted in factory location on left rear fender/bed.There is a piece of aluminum over the cab floor board, so I am assuming it has holes in the floorboard. The bed is covered in a piece of aluminum diamond plate. I'm sure the wood is long gone.VIN number is H53A025243 FRAME - Frame has been blasted and primed with a black primer coating. ALL NEW PARTS WERE USED ON THE FRAME. New springs, bump stops, park brake cables, king pins and bushings, brakes and all brake hardware, factory bend stainless steel brake lines installed perfectly in original positions, flex brake lines at each wheel, etc, etc...... All running board supports are straight and in perfect condition. I am missing the right rear bumper support, but they are on the truck. All other bumper supports are in perfect condition. The brake master cylinder and the steering gear are on the frame for mock-up. They will need to be replaced or rebuilt. Steering gear has a ton of slop when turning the steering wheel. Brake master cylinder is rusty from being on the frame and not painted. Frame alone is worth more than the asking price. This project truck is ready for the body to start being restored and reassembled on the new frame. The frame work is usually the most difficult part of the restoration. The ONLY thing that would need to be done on the frame is the clips that secure the brake lines to the frame are rusty. They would need to be popped off and cleaned/painted or replaced.Frame has new tires installed on it now.Truck/frame is for sale locally also, so I have the right to end the auction unless buy-it-now is used. THE TIRES THAT ARE SHOWN IN THE PICTURES ARE THE TIRES THAT WILL BE ON THE FRAME WHEN PURCHASDED.
