Vehicle Detail
I am REALLY going to miss this little Bronco... It's a great vehicle! It's fun to drive and INCREDIBLY reliable. I am the 2nd owner. I purchased it from the original owner,an older gentleman, in 1998.It had 45,000 miles on it at the time. I've taken VERY good care of it, as you can see. I am VERY meticulous about maintaining my vehicles, inside and out, and mechanically. Upon stepping in, many a passenger has remarked "Wow, this thing is nice!". The interior is the best part of this Bronco. No spills. No Gunk in cup holders, glove box, etc. This vehicle HAS NOT been a kid or pet hauler. Other than the very rare smoking passenger, it has always been a non-smoker's vehicle. So you won’t have any smoke smell to contend with. While the outside of this Bronco exhibits some of the normal wear and tear of a 26 year old vehicle, the interior is in very good shape. All work has been done by professional mechanics. I've had no trouble putting money into this vehicle as its needed repairs. It's been well worth it! In fact, a few years ago my friends thought I was crazy to put $1,900 into it, for new head gaskets and a few other repairs. But it was well worth it. I’ve loved every minute of owning and driving this Bronco, but it’s time to let it go. I recently purchased a newer car and I don’t have room for two vehicles. So it’s time to find a new owner who will love this Bronco as much as I have. Last year I had the exterior professionally detailed, including a cut and polish to remove the oxidation. It turned out fantastic, as you can see! With a good wax job every now and then, this vehicle will stay looking great for years to come. I didn't have them do anything to the interior, because I've always taken such great care of it! It just didn't need it. FEATURES: -Power windows and locks (Note: the motor on the driver’s side has been replaced and is slow to roll up during the colder months, but still works well and is very strong!) -A/C (Note: It needs to be replaced. More on that later.) -Cruise Control -Tilt Wheel -Automatic Transmission -4x4 with locking hubs -Only 149,000 original miles! HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS EXCEPTIONAL BRONCO: -Engine starts and runs fantastic. It’s one of the best features of this Bronco. I’ve always had the work done by professional mechanics. If something has needed repaired, I’ve had it done. That’s why it still runs great. -Additional leaf springs added in the back-end. This eliminates back-end sag common in these little SUV's. The work was performed by a local 4x4 truck accessory company here in Boise approximately 15 years ago. Gives the vehicle a sporty stance. -Nearly immaculate interior. Minimal wear on driver's seat, arm rest, a few dash cracks, and a very small burn on the passenger’s seat. Carpet looks like new and I've never had it shampooed! I took the floor mats out for the pictures, but they are included. Red to match the interior, with a heavy-duty black rubber mat for the driver's side. -Always carport kept. -The drivers, passengers, and back windows have professionally applied 3M window tint to keep the interior cool and looking great. There is however a small scratch in the tint and some minor rub marks on the driver’s side tint. MORE GREAT FEATURES OF THIS WELL-KEPT BRONCO: -All work done by professional mechanics, -Well cared for inside and out. -Custom wheels and new tires, purchased just last year, 9-24-14, from Les Schwab, 30/950R-15/6 104R Wild Country XTX Sport All Seasons. Plenty of tread left on these tires! -New battery, installed last year. -New alternator installed last year. -Transmission flush approximately six years ago. -Two hide-a-keys located on this vehicle, one magnetic. -Three gas tank keys -Three ignition keys -Three door keys. I'm a bit of a key nut, as you can tell. -Head gaskets replaced a few years ago. -Jack, lug wrench, and lug socket intact and included. -Spare tire is original. I've never had to use it. -Passed Idaho emission inspection this year. -Non-smoking vehicle -Original paint -Clear title -Professionally installed tow package (receiver hitch NOT included) -Fitted dash cover (I maintained the vinyl for years with armor all and turtle wax products, but it eventually did crack. I then installed the dash cover and it looks great) -Both rear quarter panel window seals replaced by a professional auto glass company. One right after I bought it and the other approx. 4 years ago. -I replaced the center console arm rest with an OEM part after the original one broke. The replacement has a steel structure and is very tuff. -Kenwood flip-down CD player. This player is approx. 15 years old. I do notice some noise on some CD's but not on others. I've cleaned the unit with a cleaning disk but it's still there when I play some CD's. I also have the original radio, and it's included in the deal. -I replaced the rubber/felt window trim on the drivers and passengers side windows approx. 8 years ago. The original trim had gotten brittle. This is one of the only repairs I've done myself. I originally took it to a reputable body shop here in town, but they did such a horrible job that I had to take matters into my own hands and re-do it. I researched extensively how to do it, and they turned out fantastic! Again, I’m a stickler for having things done right, whether I’m doing the work or having someone else do it. OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOU TO DO SOME FIXES AND UPGRADES UPON PURCHASE: -Needs new AC system. My mechanic checked it out years ago and found there were too many leaks in the system to fill with coolant. Since it's only hot a few months out of the year I opted not to fix it. Heater works great! -You could replace the air cleaner housing if you want to. The clips broke off a few years ago. Since that time I've used wire to hold it on tightly. It works just fine this way. I just clip the wire and remove the cover to install a new filter when it’s time, and then put it back together. I've seen great looking custom cone filter applications on broncos like this. If I were to keep it, this is what I'd do. They look great and it’s an inexpensive fix because you don’t have to source another air cleaner housing. -When it rains heavily the headliner near the front window on the drivers and passengers side gets a little damp. Not sure where the water is coming in from. I’ve had a window company look at it and they believe the leaks may be in the roof near the channels over the door. This has never been a big issue, so I haven’t pursued it. However, if I were to keep it, I’d have the entire roof re-painted and these areas re-sealed properly. The roof and a small spot by the left rear wheel well is the only area of the vehicle that exhibits any rust. -The only rust on the vehicle is on the roof and a small spot in front of the left rear wheel well. -There are two small dents on the left front fender. The paint is still intact, they just need to be hammered out (if you want to). They’re hardly noticeable to me, so I haven’t bothered. -Lastly, there is some paint touch-up that needs to be done on the front fender, hood, gas tank cover, etc. All minor stuff. Overall I think the paint looks great for a vehicle this old. WHAT ABOUT UNDERCARRIAGE LEAKS. . . -This Bronco used to leak a very small amount of oil. I’ve just always been in the habit of parking on a 4x8 piece of plywood to protect the concrete. There is still a super small drop or two from time to time, but after having so many seals replaced on the engine, it has gone way down, if not all together gone. It does burn a little oil however, about half a quart between oil changes. Here is a video that shows any issues with the exterior-paint chips, dents/dings, scratches to the glass on the back window, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CneKoJjlmqw Here are all the photos I took put together in video format. Included are photos of the dash, engine, center console, all four tires etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-13NsuvNP0 It's never been in an accident (other than the minor dents on the front left fender). Here is a list of repairs I've had professionally completed recently: -New Alternator installed on 4-23-15, mileage 147,238 -New Interstate Battery installed on 9-15-14, mileage 144,866 -New water pump installed on 2-14-14, mileage 143,052 -Replaced cylinder heads and gaskets, thermostat, starter, and cooling fan on 2-12-12, mileage 135,114 (Total cost $1,821.34. This was the repair my friends thought I was crazy to perform. They simply don't know how nice this little bronco is to drive! :) -Replaced window motor and regulator on 10-28-11 -Replaced modulator valve on 10-6-11 -Replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel line on 6-3-11, mileage 131,986 -Replaced spark plugs, ignition wire set, distributor cap, ignition rotor, front brake rotors and pads on 1-12-11, mileage 130,560 That’s it! If you’re the winner of this auction you’re going to love this little Bronco! Call if you have any questions... 208-6 two 9-917 two. Thank you! Mark
