This is a 1964 SS Impala 409-425 4-speed. This is a original 409-425 car. This car sat in a barn in New York since 1978. The body is in real good shape for the age of car, floorboards are good shape, front brace has two small places in it on outer corners, I have a new brace. The trunk is in good shape, two places on fender wells, inside trunk, not bad. The common places that most of these cars have rust. Under the trunk lid has the original red paint, at the rear where the bumper goes theres a piece of metal that's is missing, rubber goes on top of it. They sell this piece new. I have no bumpers for the car. Under outer fender wells both sides needs some repair but nothing bad. The front fenders have original . The rear end is a 3.36 gear ratio with posi-traction. The car has had latter bars in the early years so I am sure it has seen many drag strips. There is some different things that you can see on car and tell that it has been drag raced. I got a new stainless steel gas tank and the big fuel line and return line. Interior is all original. The seats need a good cleaning. Needs head liner. I have new front and rear door panels. I think with a good cleaning the seats and carpet could be used. It has high RPM tachometer that is original to 409-425. All the chrome is good in the interior. The engine has been completely rebuilt, in 64 Chevrolet changed the high performance heads and camshaft to a Z11 cam. I had Isky cams grind me a Z11 camshaft. Theres about $8,000.00 spent on engine. The carbs had been professionally rebuilt. I have the rare set of factory cast iron headers with complete new exhaust system. Have bell housing and Muncie 4-speed transmission with rebuilt shifter. New back up lights assembly for transmission linkage. I have 4 brand new white wall tires for the car. And NOS hubcaps. There is to much to list. I will add things as I think of them. Numbers on front of engine pad are T0423 QB Engine was bored .030 with new Ross forged pistons. Rods reconditioned, crank turned, new oil pump timing gears. Isky Z-11 camshaft, 64 high performance heads all new stainless 2.19 valves. I have bills on engine and heads. Have radiator and shrould and GM reproduction rad. hoses, I have new patch panels for bottom of front fenders. I have all crome, looks real good, correct new NOS white wall tires, 4 extra wheels, the original spare tire is mounted on front of car. Hood may need replaced, some rust and has been drilled of hood pins back in the day. Has a aluminum flywheel.
