NOTE: IF YOU ARE NEW TO EBAY, HAVE 0 OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, DO NOT BID WITHOUT CONTACTING ME FIRST. IF YOU DO, YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELED. SELLER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION EARLY IF VEHICLE SELLS FROM ALTERNATIVE LISTINGS. Car is being relisted because I made the mistake of accepting a winning bid from an Ebay-er who opened their account the day before the close of the auction. FLAKE. My father bought this beast new back in Baltimore, where it was garaged kept and rarely driven until 2002. In June of that year, I purchased the vehicle from him with 18,500 miles on it. Since then it's continued it's mostly garaged (and under cover) existence, during which time I've put another 20k miles on it over the last 15 years. With the exception of a Dynomax Cat-Back exhaust system, the car is bone-stock and otherwise unmolested. The original exhaust system is intact and will be included by request only. Using 100% synthetic lubricants since day #1, oil changes have always been executed more frequently than recommend due to the amount of time the car spends sitting. It's always been tagged and driven every couple of months, usually for a week or two at a time, always making sure to add fuel stabilizer to a fresh, full tank of gas before parking it for the next storage cycle. No matter how long it sits, it always starts immediately. This car has been lovingly cared for since the beginning and always driven responsibly. Cosmetics: This is not a concours show car, but the factory teal paint is beautiful and looks as you would expect of a car that has always been garaged. The headlight lenses, side markers and tail lenses all look like new and show no signs of hazing or yellowing. There are some bumps and bruises from "normal use" (pictured), but the finish is so shiny that you don't see them unless you're looking for them. All glass is perfect. The original, stock SS wheels (pictured) have no road rash, pitting or other unsightly blemishes, and the Nitto NT555s have 90% of their meat. The interior is beautiful… The steering wheel has always been covered, the passenger and rear seats have rarely been sat in, and they look it. The driver's seat doesn't look much different. There is no yellowing or discoloration of interior trim as is commonly associated with many of these cars, even ones well kept. Mechanical: The LT1 motor is smooth and strong with no known mechanical issues. It sounds absolutely musical and always passes smog inspections with ease. The 100% synthetic Mobile 1 has about 1k miles on it, and is perfectly clean and clear. I just put a brand new battery in it last week. The transmission shifts crisply in all gears and has no known mechanical issues. Front disc pads are new, rear are at about 70%. All rubber bushings in the front suspension have been replaced in the last year (some had cracked with age, a couple even disintegrated), so the car feels nice and "tight" with exceptional handling for a car of it's size. Power antennae works smoothly and without hangup. AC blows cold. Known issues: The interior strap handle on the driver's side front door has partially separated from the main trim panel due to some of the small plastic pins in the trim shearing off (pictured). It was like this when I got it from my father and I never bothered to do anything about it other than refrain from grabbing it. As of about 5 years ago, the interior courtesy lights refused to turn off so I pulled the appropriate fuse to shut them down. The power mirrors share the same circuit so they're also down, but function normally with the fuse replaced. All other instrumentation lighting and other cabin functions (horn, wipers, radio, climate control, power windows) operate as normal. The rear passenger window on the driver's side needs "guidance" when being raised or lowered. It's perfectly stable once it's lowered, and it seals as normal once it's raised, but assistance is required to maintain proper orientation of the glass when getting from point "a" to "b". That's it… A few small issues, but nothing that would prevent someone from using this as their daily driver tomorrow, if that's what they wanted to do with it. Bid with confidence, this is a sweet ride that's been in my family since new. On Aug-21-15 at 12:29:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Here's a quick clip from my GoPro that will let you hear the Dynomax system. My next door neighbor commented the other day that "That thing sounds like a beast when you pull up"... It's not loud, it just has a really nice bass rumble: https://youtu.be/9_CW7n6aViY
