It is a solid rust free example, however there is evidence of rust forming on the hardtop. Please see the attached pictures. This car has never been in an accident and still has all of the correct original European bumpers, headlights, headlight wipers, etc. The hood, doors, and deck lid all open and close properly. Interior: This car still has its original interior however the front seats have been swapped out for a seat of sport seats. All of the gauges and lights work on this car.Engine/Transmission: This car does fire right up however it runs rough. I have not had it looked at by anyone, but it appears it has a vacuum leak. The transmission shifts through the gears smoothly. This would be a great weekend project for someone. This car should not be considered a driver in its current condition.Overall: This is a great chance to get into an early 500sl. It comes with its original hardtop, clean title, license plates, original tool kit and some records. With a proper service this car should be running smoothly again.
