Custom 1979 HONDA CX500 Cafe Racer For sale with a LOW RESERVE! This custom Cafe Racer is racy-looking, light-weight, easy to ride. The HONDA CX500 model is known to be very reliable. This bike has modular wheels, electric start, is liquid cooled and shaft driven, which all add up to low maintenance. The Build A fully adjustable rear mono shock system was grafted in, and a “track inspired” tail section was hand formed out of heavy sheet-metal. The tank was tilted forward, (approximately 10 degrees) to straighten up the lines on the bike. Pod filters, 2 into 1 exhaust system, led taillight, an electric fan, a new battery, new vintage tires, plus a few other custom modifications were added. The body was sent out and painted Guards red with silver and gold stripes. The bike starts right up and runs well. It goes through all the gears and brakes fine. There are no major oil leaks or blue smoke. ( Please note; the headers were "blue" when I bought them used.) The bike has a clear Arizona title.
