This is a well built 1956 Dodge rat rod pickup. It has a Chrysler torsion bar front suspension, Big power disk brakes on the front and drum power brakes on the rear. It has a limited slip 355 8 3/4" rear diff. The tranny is a rebuilt 727 Torgueflight with a Hurt floor shifter. The engine is a 440 with new rings, bearings, rebuilt heads and high performance cam shaft. The wiring is all new with new style fuses. This truck was built by a professional mechanic so you don,t have to worry about a lot of cheesy mechanical work or poorly fabricated parts commonly found on a lot of poor handling unsafe rat rods. The side glass is new and the rear window and windshield have all new rubber seals. The lights and signals work, temp and oil pressure gauges work, no heater and the wipers, amp gauge and speedo are inop. It has nice door panels, seat and carpet. The floors are solid as is the rest of the body. It is pretty much straight and clean everywhere. The tail gate is especially nice , like something you would find on a show truck. This truck drives out very nicely. With power brakes and power steering it is effortless to drive and the powerful drive train makes it a bunch of fun. The suspension, being torsion bar, gives you some adjustment up or down. It has full cover Dodge Car hubcaps and a real cool old whiskey bottle over flow bottle. As it is, it is pretty much a turn key old school hot rod / rat rod that you can have fun in this summer without spending a fortune. It is clean with new carpet, door panels, a nice seat with fold down armrest and a nice looking Grant steering wheel that is kind of the banjo style. The door frames threshold and roof parts are all straight and clean done in the same paint as outside. The clove compartment door is missing.(it got lost by the sandblaster-).
