This is a very attractive roadster with removable hardtop and folding soft top. Very desirable color combination - red exterior and tan interior. The body paint show some clouding from age but still shines. The tan interior is stunning in its color and excellent condition. The car has been well maintained and runs very strong and smooth. The car is a pleasure to drive. The car has been fitted with new 15 inch Mercedes wheels and tires which have low miles. This size wheel fits and performs very well on this vintage car. Note that the car has European style headlights which is regarded by enthusiasts as a desirable accessory. Recent work done on the car includes: replace of timing chain and gears, valve cover gaskets, distributor cap and rotor, starter, shifter bushings, steering gear box, steering pump, steering damper, oil and filter. Passes California smog test. I purchased the car from the original family that purchased it new. After acquiring the car, I located and purchased a 280SL and need to sell this 450SL.
