uncle427 store 1965 Corvette- loaded red convertible-FACTORY AIR CONDITIONED! Turn Key! 1965 Corvette Convertible. Original 300 hp engine, original Muncie WR 4 speed trans, original 3:36 posi differential,original AFB Carburetor, original alternator. 2 Tops Turn key for summer!! Needs nothing but a new owner! The odometer shows a bit over 52,000 miles. I have no idea if its original, but I would guess it is. Its red with black vinyl interior. Has a white soft top in excellent shape, it operates very smoothly and tight ly, the fit is good, the hard top is great and the interior is also. Everything works flawlessly, including the clock. It has been upgraded to quartz movement. All gauges, lamps, switches, etc. all in perfect working condition. All the locks,etc, ignition work as they should. Door hinges/frames are tight and doors close smoothly and easilly. Its loaded! Power Steering, Power brakes, Power Windows, 4 speed, reverse lights with day/night mirror, best of all, ice cold original factory air conditioning with full tinted glass option. That includes the doorglass. Also has knock off wheels, the 1980's versions, new radial WW tires, and side pipes. Gorgeous lines and door/hood gaps,all the Stainless steel trim is highly polished, the emblems and chrome bumpers are excellent as is the fit. The grill is excellent. Previously frame off restored, it was a feature car shown in Vette Vues Magazine previously, lots of historyand documentation. A copy of the Vette Vues Magazine showing the car is included. Excellent body and fit, perfect frame, no rust or repairs ever! The original motor was just rebuilt completely, it has only a few hours/ miles on it, started with new pistons/rings, all new valves/springs, correct cam, etc., as was the original AFB carb and restored alternator, with date coded diodes. New water pump, all belts, hoses and correct clamps, wires, plugs, etc. The engine assembly was completely balanced. All shielding is excellent and in place. The distributor was rebuilt. New correct ballast resistor. The choke operates perfecly. Starts easily. The exhaust manifolds were restored. Correct original oil pan, balancer,timing chain cover and pulleys were restored and used. The original valve covers are perfect. It has new accelerator lingage/rod. The hood latch hardware and support were replated and its a brand new correct hood release assembly. New voltage regulator and horn relay. Horns blow loud! New repoduction radiator, correct date coded. New fan clutch. New correct fuel pump, lines and filter. Original correct air cleaner fully restored, new correct lid. Has brand new correct A-6 a/c compressor with all correct stickers, new drier, correct hoses and fittings/muffler, expansion valve, and uses R-12 refrigerant. Blows lots of ice cold air! The entire a/c system has been gone thru and just fully charged. The inner heater box was rebuilt when frame off restoration was completed, new seals internally and new heater core. Viton green o rings were used thruout so it can be changed to a different refrigerant at a later date if desired. All new heater hoses, new heater shut off valve Steering column and box are nice and tight. Car just had a full 4 wheel alignment. This was done by a full specialty shop. Not a chain store type of shop. Shifter is tight and shifts smoothly, transmission shifts flawlessly. The entire chassis and suspension was rebuilt and restored doing the frame off restoration, so it has new bushings, etc, bearings, fuel and brake lines were all replaced as were the body mounts. A brand new clutch was also installed and balanced with the flywheel. A new ring gear was installed. It has the correct feel and geometry as original. Very easy and smooth. A new starter was installed. All correct dust covers and boots, linkage are installed. It has its original style cannister oil filter. Motor runs nice and cool, even with a/c on and running. Everything under the hood is like new! This car is an absolute pleasure to drive, runs strong, very responsive, great handly and ride, not choppy, has recent correct springs and Delco shocks, sounds fantastic as they are GM side pipes and covers, the tips and covers are excellent. The Knock off wheels are the older versions, have some nicks, etc on spinners/cones but wheels themselves are great. Tires, as stated, new 205-75-15 radial white walls. It drives straight as an arrow, very smooth and NO RATTLES. This is an extremely tight car. Brakes are great. The power brake booster is new, as is the master cylinder. The car stops quickly, easily, straight and smooth. The e-brake works. Under the hood is highly detailed to the most correct standards. Headlamp buckets operate quickly and smoothly. All the glass in in excellent condition. Wiper rubber inserts are new. Wipers work great. The washer squirters do not work, although all the correct hoses and washer fluid bag are in place, no effort was made to fix them. The interior is also excellent, nice seat covers, like new, seat tracks operate smoothly, nice door panels, appear original and excellent and really nice original dash and dash pads. Carpet is great. There really is nothing showing any wear. Radio works and sounds fine, power antenna works fine. Seat belts are clean and work smoothly, buckles restored. The under dash firewall insulation and padding was all replaced when restored. All wiring is excellent and undamaged, routed correctly. All the original a/c ducting is in place in both sides. The power windows operate quickly and smoothly. The vent window regulators are tight and operate smoothly. The glove box door has been restored and it has a new liner. There is an owners manual and bag with the car. The console has been restored previously. The door opening sill plates are excellent. Original steering wheel is good. All the weaterstripping and runs are in great shape. In fact, all the body weatherstrippng is great! Spare tire tub is in place with a spare, it has a brand new best quality fuel sending unit installed. A new fuel filler door and cap. All the lower splash shields are in place with correct hardware. It has a brand new battery and new correct battery cables. New hold down and hardware. The paint is what I would describe as not perfect, its as nice and shiney as it shows in the photos but it does have some aging, it is not "show quality" But still, as the pics show, a car to be proud of! The hardtop paint is perfect. This is an excellent, tight car. It needs absolutely nothing. Just get in, fill it up and cruise! Hard to find an a/c convertible like this!
