Up for auction is a real "barn find" 1970 GTO 455 convertible! This is a complete GTO convertible. This is an estate sale. The car was found literally in the barn, along with another GTO, and a 1946 Ford panel car. I'm unable to identify the engine. There are no stamp markings on the front of the block. The vin is 242. The car researches out as a real 455 ram air convertible. There were only 128 made. As you can see, there is very little damage to the car anywhere. The hood is rusted beyond repair. The frame is solid, but there is rust in the floor panels. They would need to be replaced.There is nothing missing. The car comes with an automatic transmission which seems to be original, as is the rear end. For some reason it has manual in the description, but its an auto. These cars are for sale locally, so there is a chance they could be pulled prior to the end of the auction. The car has much of the original ram air parts including the ram air knob under the dash which is connected to the correct wiring going into the engine compartment. Working on getting documentation, no guarantee. PHS documentation shows a 400 non ram air, auto, and a 3:55 post rear. Bid accordingly. Fell free to withdraw any current bids. You still will not ave to pay if the frame is not in good condition. A free inspection by a professional, is included in the final price.
