The stated auction terms must be observed to maintain this guarantee. This is a very nice 1977 Mercedes Benz 450 SEL sedan with only 111,237 miles. This Mercedes has been very well treated and maintained. This car is from Virginia and over the past eight years, the owner invested quote a bit of money in this Mercedes over the past eight years. We have a folder filled with receipts to document all service performed, and these are some of the highlights: 106,427 miles – Shocks, Radiator, Steering Box, Taillights, Trans Mount, Engine Mounts, etc. $8,148.38 106,710 miles – A/C Receiver/Dryer & Pressure Switch, Exhaust Heat Shields, Wheel Bearings, etc. $995.40 107,197 miles – A/C Condenser, Evaporator Tank, Belts, Battery Cables, Antenna Repair, Front Lenses etc. $3,129.13 109,075 miles – Drive Shaft Support & Bearing, Fuel Lines & Hoses, Tailshaft Seal, Antenna Mast, etc. $2,170.08 February 2007 – Full Interior Refurbishment, Leather Seats Recovered and New Cushions, New Carpeting, etc. $5,313.98 I didn’t meet the previous owner, but apparently he was no longer able to use this car which is how we came to acquire it. You are seeing this 450SEL as we received it. We are not vintage Mercedes experts, but I’ll tell you everything we know about it: We drove this car to our facility from Virginia without issue. This is a very presentable car, both mechanically and cosmetically, and I don’t see any reason why this SEL couldn’t be a daily driver. The V8 engine runs very well. It starts easily, idles smoothly, and runs very strong without any smoke, noises or other problems. The automatic transmission shifts very nicely. We checked the equipment in this car for proper operation. All of the following power equipment is working: All power windows, power door-locks, power sunroof, door locks and power antenna. The air conditioning is nice and cold, and the stereo and speakers all sound good (they were replaced). All of the gauges and instrumentation are functioning properly. The Powder Blue paint is glossy over the entire body. The exterior of this Mercedes is in very nice condition. This car was repainted some time ago, and there are only relatively minor imperfections. There is a little spot of cracked paint on the hood, but there aren’t any dents or scratches on the rest of the car. I don’t see any body rust, and the rocker panels appear to be nice and solid. There are a few bumps on the front bumper, but both bumpers are in very good condition. All of the exterior trim, molding, lenses, etc, are intact and in excellent condition. The alloy wheels are clean and look great. The interior is in excellent condition. Of course if you spend $5,300 on an interior, it should look pretty good. All of the leather seats and carpeting are still like new. There aren’t any rips, holes or damage on the seats or carpeting in this Mercedes. The top back edge of the rear seat is a little warped where the material wraps around at the rear deck. There are some small cracks on the driver door panel and top dash pad. This was a non-smoker owned vehicle and there aren’t any burn marks inside this car. We have the clear title in hand. This is a beautiful 450 SEL, and I would feel comfortable getting in and driving this Mercedes anywhere. REGISTRATION, TITLES & FEES: Out of state purchasers do not pay any Pennsylvania sales tax. A $60 fee will be added to the final sale price of each online transaction, which will cover document fees and preparation, notarizations, and courier costs. Temporary Transit Tags are available through the state of PA for $60, which will provide valid registration for a period of 30 days. In order to obtain this tag, please provide proof of insurance for any vehicle that you presently own. Titles are available to the buyer immediately upon full irrevocable payment, which is performed by bank wire transfer or cash in person. Otherwise, the title will be sent to you after your payments have cleared our bank. Occasionally, a title is still being processed by the state and we will issue free temporary registration until the title is received. All vehicles we sell on eBay are stored in a separate secured facility and we require that all vehicles be picked up within ten days of auction completion. Storage charges after ten days will be charged at $15/day for cars, and more for trucks and larger vehicles depending on size. (Storage charges will not apply to vehicles scheduled for pickup by a transporter). We will try to exercise some flexibility to accommodate special requests regarding our terms, if they are placed before the auction ends.
