Vehicle Detail
1965 Impala 350 Cid 4 speed 12 bolt rear end, not original. No power steering and no power brakes. Everything works except the radio, left window vent, horns, backup lights, speedometer and interior lights although these items can be repaired very easily by someone that is mechanically inclined. Shows 20,887 on the odometer but this is not correct because of the speedometer not working. This is not a trailer queen by all means but she is very presentable and can be shown at most car shows as a daily driver. It has a few issues cosmetically such as the right rear quarter made contact with the car lift and scraped the paint and there are a couple of very small spots in the hood that is showing paint blister because of time. The interior is very nice, no tears although some of the stitching has come loose (very minor) but by all means the material is still strong and will be great for many years. All of the seals around the doors and windows are showing there age and again, an easy fix and affordable. The engine is strong and very dependable. It sounds of a mild cam and a nice rumble through the exhaust. The engine shows no leaks of oil and or coolant. It does use some oil, (not much) between oil changes and does not show smoke. Runs cool even on hot days, I would drive her anywhere. Tires are in very good shape, better than 50% and the rally sport rims are painted body color. The wheel caps match but the beauty rings don't, 2 and 2. I have owned this car for 6 years and I bought her right. She has never cost me anything other than gas and oil. This is an older restoration and some of the repairs done are the replacement of the right rear quarter and some floor repair, typical stuff of a car of this age. The paint shines very well too. I am selling her and a couple other cars because I have to many, I'm getting older, and I'm having a hard time keeping all of them detailed. The reserve price is very low compared to what I have seen for a car of this nature, I'm not looking to make money on this car, it was never intended to be an investment, I'm just looking to come close to what I have invested in her. Good luck.
