Here for sale is a very rare and desirable 1of only 46 produced, 1969 Mach I Mustang 428 Super Cobra Jet 4 speed with the 390 Drag Pack option. This SCJ comes with a deluxe Marti Report, also retains its original dash mounted VIN tag along with its original door tag, in the verry popular color of candy apple red exterior with black interior. This Mustang SCJ comes with the following items: 428 CJ block, bore 10-10 stamped Super on the front with no date code, it also has the C casted on the rear of the block. 1 Set of LeMans connecting rods with pitons that are also 10-10 A pair of Cobra Jet cylinder heads and a Cobra Jet intake manifold (also date code late 1968) This SCJ has all of its original glass with the exception of the quarter windows I own a restoration shop and have been restoring cars for over 35 years, I will describe with the best of my ability what sheet metal needs to be replaced on this Mustang: Right and left outer wheel house Right and left quarter panels with inner lower trunk extenions Roof panel The hood is in very repairable condition You could either install a full floor pan or the right and left full length floor pans along with the toe panels and seat braces The inner and outer rockers are in excellent condition along with the center tunnel, all the sheet metal under the rear seat along with right and left inner wheel house are also in excellent condition. The trunk surround sheet metal around the fuel tank, along with the rear panel is in excellent condition The inner and outer sheet metal behind the rear window and in front of the trunk is in excellent condition The trunk lid is in excellent condition The fenders are in very good condition, better than most that I have seen The right and left doors need to be replaced (I have a very nice set of original doors that are included in the sale, that need to be Media blasted with a very small rust spot on the lower corner that is an easy fix) All the rear frame rails and undercarriage sheet metal from the rear seat back is in excellent condition with the exception of somebody reinforcing 6" of the rear frame rails where the spring hangers mount for extra support from drag racing (this can be removed during the restoration) The very rare rear staggered shock plate is in excellent condition Front frame rails and all of the front inner and outer sheet metal along with the firewall is all in excellent condition with no rust The torque boxes on the very flat of the bottom have a small amount of rust on each side (could either be repaired or replaced at the owners discretion The interior is complete with the exception of 1 door panel and carpet, that will need to be restored. Also comes with the original tach and guages This Mustang SCJ is being sold with all of the parts listed above, period, no other parts available. These Super Cobra Jet Mustangs are rarely seen for sale in project condition. Restored SCJ's are fetching high dollars at auction today making this SCJ a grade A investment.
