For sale I have a 1974 FJ40 in great shape. It runs and drives great. It has 88,000 original miles. It is a solid vehicle and an excellent candidate for restoration with all original sheet metal. That being said there are some things that would need to be done to make it the beauty it once was. There is a small amount of bondo on the body. None of which is covering rust. See the pics and they tell the tale. There is a small amount of rust on the rear sill plate, a very common sight on these classic vehicles. The seats are not original. someone has cut the dash to install a modern CD player. It looks like someone also tried to fit larger tires on it and tried to roll the fender beads. Again see the pics. It has a F155 engine with a 4spd transmission. All numbers match. It has all the original glass. It also has a period correct Warn Belleview winch with original controls inside.It has had a paint respray in the early '90's. It looks like the hood came open once while driving and was repaired but not real well. See pics. All in all this is a very solid, low mile car. With a little massaging it would be beautiful.
