Vehicle Detail

Running & driving 1952 Buick Special classic car for sale. This 52 Buick Special 4 door in good condition. The exterior paint appears to be mostly original and is forest green and at times the car photographs almost black. The odometer reads 34708. I believe that it as rolled over once and it is actually 134,708. I have no service records from the previous owner to go by to verify the exact mileage. There is an image of the odometer. Electrics: The system is 6-volt with mostly original cloth covered wiring throughout. An electric fuel pump has been added and the started has been rebuilt. The headlamps, taillights, turn signals, transistor AM radio, & horn all work. The gauges work with the exception of the fuel gauge that is sluggish and will not show less than half a tank. I cannot fit the original key in the ignition cylinder. The key cylinder turns over and starts without the key. Powertrain: The straight-eight motor has not been rebuilt and runs well. The Dynaflow automatic transmission shifts well. Due to the age of the gaskets, it does leak a small amount oil and transmission fluid. It will need a new oil-bath air filter. It idles much better with the air filter off than on. Interior: The interior has been restored. There are 2 lap belts in the front. The windows roll up and down with ease & all the doors close and lock properly. The (double-pane glass) passenger-side window has a crack on the outside pane. The inside pain is fine. There are no issues with water entering the vehicle. Exterior: Refer to the photographs on this one. I did notice a little bondo work in the passenger side wheel-well. There is rust on the undercarriage. All chrome is there and it has never been in an accident. Brakes: The brakes are in great shape. They are responsive. They stop evenly and smoothly. Other Info: Clean Texas title in our name. It does not currently have state registration or inspection. I only drive it around the neighborhood once a week to keep it from sitting too long in the garage. Extensive original shop/repair manuals that cover the car from bumper to bumper are included. I have noted every issue of concern that I am aware of the best of my knowledge. Allow a margin of omission of small details that may disappoint or delight you. Feel free to contact me if you have specific questions or would like to arrange for yourself or your mechanic to look it over. Located in Fort Worth, Texas. Buyer responsible for delivery of vehicle. A $300 non-refundable PayPal deposit is required within 24 hours of intent to purchase. All funds must clear before the car & title can be relinquished to the buyer.
