This vehicle is a 1-Owner lease return and IS IN NEED OF ENGINE REPAIR. The vehicle will start, run, and drive however it has a substantial engine noise. We have no idea when or what caused the engine to develop a knock or rattle. How it is pictured is exactly how it came in. We have not had the engine professionally diagnosed therefore we are selling this vehicle to be in need of engine repair or replacement. We did drive the vehicle a short distance and the transmission shifted smooth and all features worked properly. However, we would not recommend driving it any distance. The exterior is in good condition with the exception of a small area of surface rust starting to appear on the left rear inner fender lip. The interior has some stains but should clean up well. Overall this is a good looking Escape that is very much worthy of repairing. Once repaired this Escape should give someone miles of inexpensive service. If you have the mechanical ability or a friend that does this could make you an inexpensive Escape or a nice profit. CONDITION: EXTERIOR: Clean looking vehicle. The body is in overall good condition. No major dents or scratches and comes with a clean Carfax History report. As stated above the is some surface rust on the left rear inner fender lip. There is also a scuff on the right front corner of the bumper cover. There maybe some other minor chips or scratches but nothing serious. Overall good looking for the year and mileage. INTERIOR: Need a good detailing but should clean up well. The seats have stains but most should come out with a steam cleaner. DRIVE TRAIN: The vehicle starts, runs, and drives but has a considerable engine knock. Vehicle will need to be transported.
