GREAT classic BMW R69S bike. Triple matching numbers and almost completely original except for grips and mufflers/silencers. New Magura grips.....and it sounds great with the current pipes. Engine- I believe to be true miles and it does not appear to have ever been opened up. There are a few bits of rubber that could be replaced that serve as a testament of the bikes age. The rubber boot between the transmission and drive shaft is showing some cracks and has a pinhole leak...easy fix. Tires I think are the original animals...the look great but could stand to be replaced with some softer rubber. Bike runs and shifts great but is stubborn starter.....it needs a solid tune up by a professional or someone with a good deal more knowledge than me. After 51 years I would say it is about time for a proper tune up. Tank has RARE rack mount and it is perfect.... Repainted professionally some time ago (and striped) it has a few chips here and there on the frame mostly but tank and fenders are great looking. Check out the pics and send in your questions... Many have asked where it is located in Chicago...I road it to my office which is just east of Manheim RD on 47th Street. ZIP is 60534 and it is VERY NEAR LAGRANGE if you are familiar with the area. I have moved to there to make it easier for shippers as it has a loading dock and have drained gas from the tank to make it easy to ship. Also the key for the tank glove box was lost by previous owner and I do not know what is in the box....Easy enough to have a blank cut by a locksmith and was quoted about $50 labor and you may find a tool kit or owners manual or papers....
