Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1974 Mercury/Ford Capri, It is a 2800 4speed car, I've owned the car for several years and has been a daily driver for those years. The paint job is around 2 years old and is a PPG basecoat clearcoat. It has many new parts such as struts, control arms, brake hoses, disc pads. It also has full poly urethane bushings in the front end and I do have poly urethane bushings for the rear springs but have not installed them; but come with the car. It has Hankook directional tires on it that are 205/50r15 tires sitting on Mustang Gt rims. It also has 2" lowering springs in the front made by Blitz Capri. It also has a reproduction RS3100 rear spoiler from Blitz Capri and a plastic reproduction package tray from Blitz Capri. Under the hood I changed the intake and carb and put on a 2150 Motorcraft carb from a 79 Capri. I also installed a Duraspark distributer. It has been a reliable daily driver for me that runs good, handles good. The car pulls hard through all gears and shifts like it should. The only mechanical issues I have with the car that I haven't addressed is the starter drive rattles sometimes when it disengages but has never caused any major problems. Also one of the rear brake adjusters acts up sometimes when backing up which I have got around to fixing. The interior is where the car could use a little work. The headliner needs replaced as it is brittle and shrunken around the roof sails. Also it has the typical cracked dash, the carpet it also thin and faded. I put a seat cover over the rear, but original seat is underneath and needs recovered. The car has new door and truck weatherstrip and rear window seal. All in all it is a good daily drivers that is clean and very presentable. In the pictures of the car one shows the rear valence where there is some cracked paint on the valence body seam. Also a picture show a crack in the paint where i believe something got pinched in between the door. The back story of the car is that it came from a estate sale in NW Kansas. The elderly gentleman who owned it bought it in 1981 at 60,000ish miles and put most of the miles on it commuting to work. He documented extensively what parts he replaced, when and what mileage. From his notes I could tell that the Speedometer has been replaced and doesn't show the correct mileage. From his notes I think the motor was overhauled 60,000 to 90,000 miles ago. I kept all his notes and they are still in the glovebox. As this car is 41 years old while it has treated me well it is being sold "As Is". I am selling it due to needed home repairs. Also I have a pair of 2.8 headers I putting up on ebay that I never got around to installing on this car. The reserve is $4000, Thanks for looking.
