Just completed by British Auto Repair (BAR) of Southport, CT after a two years restoration, this truck was built to be the finest quality Series truck in existence. Known in Rover circles as the “ROVER WHISPERERS”, the techs at BAR are among the finest and most knowledgeable Rover Restores in the country. Every component, nut, bolt, rivet and piece on this truck was either replaced or restored. Starting with a clean and rust free donor truck that was formerly owned by the president of Rovers North, every effort was aimed at making sure a period correct and accurate restoration was completed. The body was removed from the frame and was built from the ground up. SHE HAS A GALVANIZED STEEL CHASSIS!!! Every drivetrain and suspension component was removed, disassembled and either purchased new or rebuilt and reconditioned. The aluminum body was brought down to bare metal and then resprayed in her original Limestone finish. Her original 2.25 liter four cylinder engine was entirely disassembled and rebuilt to factory stock. She was fitted with a high ratio gearbox - a highly desirable feature which allows better highway cruising. The Gray Elephant Hide upholstery was purchased new and fitted throughout the interior. A new canvas top was fitted using knew galvanized bows. As can be seen, no expense has been spared on the build and restoration of this truck.
