Vehicle Detail

Here we have one of the straightest old Pontiac Streamliner "Silver Streak" Wagons you'll find. This car has always been here in the dry valley and it appears to be 98% rust free with what looks like all original metal. Everything looks great on this car and the body is just beautiful. This is the perfect car for restoration or you could go with the patina look and do very little to it. The straight-eight engine fires right up, runs great and idles perfectly. The three-speed column shift works nice and smooth and the brakes work fine. Keep in mind that this was a project car owned by a local farmer and it's been sitting for quite some time. We've only put a few miles on it testing it out around the neighborhood. As you can see from the photos, it has a new battery and what looks like a new belt, hoses, plugs, wires, etc. It also looks as if the radiator has been reconditioned. Some of the original wiring has been cut under the hood and it looks as if they were in the process of replacing it. VIN# A8TS1585 Style No 50-2562 Body# CL 776 Trim 80 Paint 5019 Overall this wagon looks to be very complete. The rear seats are out but are included along with some other parts as seen in one of the photos. You're welcome to call Frank at 559-289-5117 with questions about the car. If you have any questions about this car please ask BEFORE you bid. If you are out of the area and plan to transport this vehicle, please check prices before you bid (it can be expensive). We will require a $500 deposit at the end of the auction and full payment within 3 business days. You will have 7 days from the end of the auction to pick up the vehicle unless arrangements are made with us directly prior to your bid. The car is located inside our shop here in Fresno, California. We are happy to send any additional photos to serious buyers. We welcome and encourage inspections so if you'd like to send someone to have a look please let us know, we are normally available 7 days a week. If you have little or no feedback you MUST contact us prior to bidding or your bid will be cancelled. This is a no reserve auction so to be fair to all bidders we must know that you are a serious buyer. On Jun-06-15 at 14:07:13 PDT, seller added the following information: We've had some information provided to us by a few eBay members that really know their Pontiac's (thanks guys) and here's what we've been told. For those of you that don't know (like us) the grill and hood trim/emblem are actually from a 1949 model. Hard to say if the hood and fenders are 49 as well but we're told they bolt right up so it's a good possibility. We were also advised to check the engine number to see if it's the original 1950 or possibly the earlier "High Compression" version from 1949 and it looks like that's true as well. The engine has HIGH COMPRESSION cast near the firewall with the numbers 514370 and GM-6 and has D-124 cast near the thermostat housing up front. If we get any additional info we'll post it right away. Thanks! On Jun-07-15 at 14:59:54 PDT, seller added the following information: ***We have another update. We're told that the "High Compression" engine was in fact available in 1950 and that there is good chance that this is the original engine. Thanks!*** On Jun-10-15 at 11:11:29 PDT, seller added the following information: ***We have yet another update! We have confirmed that this car does in fact have the correct original numbers matching engine. We have also learned that this car is a very early production 1950 model and that the grill, hood, etc. may actually be original as well. Thanks! On Jun-13-15 at 15:04:41 PDT, seller added the following information: I just want to be clear for those of you that are asking about "driving" this wagon home. It has been sitting for quite some time and although it runs and drives good, you would need to check it over thoroughly before any road trips. Also note in the description that the wire loom is cut in places so there are no working lights, horn, etc. Please keep in mind that we are selling it as-is with some work needed to make it a nice driver. Thanks!
