1968 Ford Mustang Convertible. 289 2 barrel runs great and drove it across Ohio the first time I got it earlier this year. Acapulco Blue looks great on these cars. INTERIOR: black interior has many new parts. small repairable tear in vertical part of drivers seat which is in the corner and hardly noticeable. newer door panels, gauge cluster bezel and dash pieces. all interior lights, gauges, add-on fog lights, wipers, radio in good working order. EXTERIOR: Paint is in good shape. some minor chips and scratches but bright shiny finish. Very presentable and does not need a repaint. Fog lights added and professionally wired. Has nice rocker moldings, wheel well trim, and all chrome in great shape. has had quarter panels replaced at some time but are in good rust free condition. Doors and fenders are rust free. Turn signal hood working and functions as it should. new convertible top window replaced. repair made to top on side which tore on inner quarter where it seats when down. repair is water tight. All exterior lighting working. Wheels are 14" GT steel styled wheels used in 1968. tires have good tread but fronts have slight cupping from sitting. power steering does not leak and operates perfectly. Dust boot on P/S is torn but could be repaired. UNDERCARRIAGE Frame rails have some repairs as does the trunk floor and drop offs. torque boxes and front frame rails look good. floors have had some repair as well but all seems solid. front end looks original. some bushings showing age and may be original F and R springs. car does drive nice as is. ENGINE Engine is freshly painted and runs well, no leaks. Do not know where to find date code but do not know if its original, but could be. C-4 transmission shifts great, no leaks. newer water pump. BRAKES All new wheel cylinders and brakes shoes. stops very well and stops straight. This car shows well at car shows and gets a lot of attention. wouldn't take much to bring it to the next level.
