Vehicle Detail
This is a 1970 Triumph T-100C single carb model. This was a scrambler model which came from the factory with high pipes on one side. When I bought the bike years ago those pipes were replaced with down pipes like the T-100R. I replaced those with brand new pipes and mufflers from the cylinders back. I do not have original high pipes. Everything else is still in place, small headlight, single speedo(still has decal on face of gauge-see picture) also missing a skid plate which I think they had. They didn't come with center stand although I have one for it and is included in spare parts. This is an original bike, frame and motor numbers match with clear title. When I bought this bike I had the engine gone through and the top end was done with .040 rings, they said at the time the bottom end was fine and many gaskets and seals replaced. The trans and clutch seals were replaced and a whole new clutch assembly. Actually some of it was done twice , I didn't feel the first shop did a good enough job so I had it redone by a very good ,well known and respected triumph and brit.bike specialty shop. I just had another complete clutch assy . installed in Nov. 2014 another 450.00. I have many ,many receipts $$$ for all work done. I installed new amal carb and new tires and tubes. Has original points ignition. I rode around the block a few years and then it sat in the garage a few years. I'm selling it because I don't ride it anymore and I'm getting to old for kick starting. Lets go over a few things , the head has a broken fins and a cracked fin (see pictures) this doesn't effect running at all. The tires maybe have a 100 miles on them, they are brand new. (picture). The trans shifts like a British bike. Sometimes when bike has been sitting for long periods it will clunk the first time you put in 1st gear then it never does it again it goes into gear perfect the 2nd time and everytime after that, and runs fine. Have never been able to figure that out. I have new parts that go with the bike, brand new shocks which I haven't installed ,manuals ,extra carb, tank pads ,assort. hoses and gaskets and other parts.. This bike starts and runs like an older Triumph, flood the carb and kick. Usually one if the weather is warm and two or three if its cold out. There are no leaks right now but that could change at anytime with a British bike. I have replaced all the fluids with expensive Castrol brand and try to drive the bike around block every other day or so, because plates are not current. This is not a restored bike but a clean original(pictures),original frame paint. Odometer #s not working properly ,loose in housing so I'm not sure of mileage, but speedo and trip meter work fine. The chrome on rims has minor rusting around center of rim cosmetic only . Brakes operate good and stop bike ,all lights work, no turn signals this year. New battery last Nov.2014 The seat has no rips but gold piping around base has crack. The tank has no rust in it or sealer, I always kept filled, fuel lines clean . I have tried to describe this bike as well as I can , and described any flaws ,because there is no warranty on this 40 year old bike. But its a nice bike. Would be great bike to take to the next level of restoration . Also has original tool kit. Plus some extra wrenches. I am in the south suburbs of Chicago. If your a serious( buy now ) buyer e-mail me for phone Number and we can talk about any concerns. I have set a reasonable ( buy now) price so why wait. thank you . To answer some Questions,5-27-15 at 1:30 PM I added some more pictures of rims to show closer look 14" strip on right front the rest just some pitting front and back. Also another picture of missing fins two on right one on left side doesn't effect running. Thanks
