This Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird is a rocket, but it is also smooth and taut. As Honda's flagship bike it is very refined and has exemplary build quality. It has low miles, and has never been crashed. The linked braking system works seamlessy, and the suspension is still tight and supple. This model year has both fuel injection and the analog dashboard, so no need to synch 4 carbs and the dash looks much classier than the later digital unit. Everything works as designed (even the clock), it starts easy and fuels precisely, no lurching off idle as some fuel injected bikes are prone to do. It's a comfortable ride, more sport touring than repli-racer. It has higher bars than stock (stock bars included) and a Corbin saddle (stock saddle included). It is well-equipped, and has a center stand to aid in chain adjustments and maintenance. It currently has 10,850 miles, tho that figure may go up as I ride it most weekends. It has a few minor scratches as any 16 year old bike would, but it looks very good indeed with shiny paint, fairings and exhausts. I am selling this because it is simply too much bike for me in my dotage. It is a big, long wheelbase grand touring machine, and is effortlessly fast. It has so much grunt, and is so smooth, I find myself at triple digit speeds before I know it. And yet you can lug it down to 3K rpm in top gear and just motor away without downshifting if you wish. There are many professional and owner reviews online, and all seem to agree this is the best of the ultra fast superbikes.
