There are certainly a fair share of customized trucks that are offered for sale on eBay, however, the truck offered here today has taken over 23 years to perfect. We have the pleasure to advertise this 1988 GMC Sierra which has been fully customized from its owner, who has owned this particular truck since 1989. This truck is not just your ordinary truck that was bought, quickly done and offered for resale. In the 80’s and early 90’s this particular style truck was the most popular of all trucks even more so than the F150’s. The gentleman that currently owns the truck also owns one of the most successful automotive repair shops in the state and when it came time to customize this very truck he used throughout his life, it had to be like a blank canvas that encompassed the success, honestly and ambition as he did throughout his career. It had to represent his personality in addition to displaying like no other truck would. It had to be straight and solid which represented his integrity on how he conducted his business and it had to be bold, because the guy had built some of the most radical race cars that has ever seen the track. The engine had to be flawless and powerful with capabilities to roast the rear tires when needed yet conducted itself as a gentleman would when he quietly walked the streets. This truck represents a timeline of one man’s success on doing the job right the first time. So when we say this truck was 23 years in the making, we literally mean it. Exterior: As you can see from the pictures, the exterior of this truck is brilliant. Done in all custom paint with NO vinyl graphics there is no doubt this truck will turn heads wherever it goes. The base coat clear coat paint encompasses 5 different colors. White, Yellow, Flame Red, Black Cherry with an offset deep cherry ghost contrast(try to find it in the pictures). More hours that he could count where wrapped up in the paint and the body work and is laser straight. Chrome billet wheels sets off the paint with new tires. A hard tonneau cover covers the massive 8 foot bed that is solid and holds a custom truck cover for it, yet it is still fully functional as a truck. All the glass is tinted and chip and crack free. This truck was also used and was driven to local car shows and events, so expect very minor nicks here and there. Very minor. All the lights work as they should as well. Please take notice of the door jambs in the pictures and look how the paint scheme wraps around to introduce the interior. The door handles have been shaved with remote door openers at a touch of a button. The antenna has also been hidden(notice the motor shot) so no unnecessary objects were showing. That’s how much attention to detail this truck has and it is as long as a limo with the extended cab and 8 ft. bed. Please look at the photos and let us know of any questions you may have. Interior: The interior as you can see is in excellent condition and finished in black, charcoal and yellow which complements the exterior perfectly. The seats were refinished in leather and new foam padding was installed which makes this ride as comfortable as possible. All the power options work well including a great sound system and ice cold a/c. It’s literally like ordering a new 1988 GMC Sierra. The owner made sure everything was as new or newer and the ride would be as comfortable as it looked. There are no rips, tears, punctures or cracks anywhere in the inside and is truly show quality. Please look at the pictures and let us know of any questions. Drivetrain: Not to take away from the exterior or interior, but the drivetrain is absolutely flawless. As I said earlier, the owner is one of the most reputable mechanics in the state of PA and built this engine to last. Although at a glance it looks like a factory 350 engine, however, a stronger, 4 bolt main Chevy 350 is under the hood. Built .30 over with forged pistons, port and polished heads with roller rockers and roller cam. The cam was custom ordered so it would be computer safe at low idle. Custom throttle body along with intake manifold are all bolted on to a factory appearance. This engine is quiet at an idle but it will open up this truck and wind out gears through the built 700 r4 tranny. But driving it like a gentleman will give you great fuel economy. This truck can be driven everywhere there are roads and is as reliable as it was back in the day. EVERYTHING is road worthy and ready for any trip no matter how long or how short.
