Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1973 Mustang Convertible with the most desirable 351 Cleveland 4 barrel engine!!!!. (Check the others for this price and they are all 302's or windsors) This was the last year of the Mustang muscle car and the big body. I have had and enjoyed the vehicle for about 12 years now (always garaged and covered). The previous owner replaced the engine with the highly desirable 351 Cleveland with 4bbl carter carburetor (The mileage it displays are unspecified miles). It has a C4 transmission. I replaced all 4 tires (probably less than 1000 miles on them), all 4 shocks, all 4 brakes (has disks), Mallory electronic Distributor, fuel pump, belts, hoses, battery, starter, solenoid, upper and lower control arms, edelbrock intake, American Racing wheels, new front and rear speakers, new old stock am/fm 8 track player, and clarion amplifier. The power top works fine and the top has no rips or tears. This car is NOT a show car (although you could make it one) but a drivers car! It is 42 years old! Has medium copper paint (only year the big body had it) and brown vinyl interior. The car has flaws but nothing I would call major (just appearance). The car has 2 scratches down the passenger side of the car (previous owner took it to a OSU football game and someone keyed it), hood has about a 10 inch scratch, doors and trunk have very minor bubbling, vinyl dash has 2 small cracks on side, drivers side seat has a 6 inch tear, plastic sides in the back has scratches, and some small dings on the body. No bondo or filler on this original paint/body car. The bottom was undercoated at some point in it's life. With all this said the car still looks good and gets complements! This is perfect for someone who wants a muscle car with a big motor and doesn't have a ton of money. This is a great solid car! Parts are plentiful and cheap but this model is steadily rising in value. Turn the key, pump the gas, and go! The car also comes with a Mach 1 hood (I was going to install and paint but never got around to it) with chrome lock downs and vents. Buyer is responsible for transporting vehicle. Deposit of $500 due within 24hours of auction end.
