1978 Convertible Super Beetle Her name is Lola, she was a show girl!! I've owned her for 9 years and it's been the most joyous relationship I've ever had with a vehicle. I'm in grad school and can't put the $$ into her to give her the TLC she needs. I've had the brakes converted from drum to discs brakes , new master cylinder (2009) , new clutch (2009), new fuel lines( Jan 2015), and new battery ( Jan 2015), and regular oil changes and transmission maintained. The odometer was broken (41,040) when I bought her and I've had her 9 years . I drove her approx 5,000 miles a year so let's say an even 80,000 miles. She has cosmetic issues , poor girl. The needs some rust spots taken care of and the passenger floor board is rusted through. There is a tear in her roof and she must either be garage kept or tarped or new roof installed ( $ 1000) . There is an electrical issue with the turn signal. It's a wiring issue and not just a fuse so that's beyond my skill set.
