Vehicle Detail

Thanks for your interest in my all original OEM 1988 Honda Fourtrax 250r TRX250. This ATV has very low hours (my guess is that has been ridden no more than 20 times, and is in an unmolested original condition. It was mainly sand dune ridden, and I am the second owner. I have not used the bike for several years as I got interested in other hobbies, and need the garage space. The bike runs like a champ, starts easily, and holds idle. As a”tune-up” I just completed the following given the age of the bike: installed a carb kit to replace the original jets, gasketsprofessionally had the rear brake calipers rebuiltprofessionally had the master rear brake cylinder rebuilt This bike is a nearly completely 100% OEM stock bike, and the only non OEM parts are: New K&N filterCooler rack – I don’t have the original but there is plenty on eBay for ~$50 if you want to have the original; my opinion is that this rack is multipurpose: hand hold for passenger, and holds a small cooler which is included along with flag whip with lightAs seen in the picture, the rear tires are sand paddles, but I also have the original knobby tires. As they are the original, replacements might be in order, but these still look “new” That’s it! The rest of the bike is bone stock, down to the original grips, plastics, handlebars, pipe, everything!. It still has the OEM keyed ignition and OEM tool box with the OEM tool kit, and owner’s manual inside of it. This bike is suitable for a collector (or a rider). It is not perfect, but is a great example of a 250r with very low hours and not abused, modified, etc.. She’s ready for a new owner that can modify to their needs/wants. Specifics, details and disclosures: The OEM plastics have some small “spider” cracks, and it is on both the front and rear fenders. It does not look terrible, and is only noticeable if you look close. If you know the Fourtrax 250r, then you know that just about every bike suffers from this ailment, unless the owner replaced the plastic. There is one super small crack in the rear fender, see pic. It is about 1/2" long, so no big deal. Aside from that, the rest of the plastic is pretty darn good. Fenders are NOT trimmed or cut Seat is original, and by the pictures you can see has very little wear given the low miles The tires are in good shape, front has maybe 75% life left ,and the rear has maybe 80% (so little wear that there is still the “nubs” on the sides Includes the original condition OEM tool kit, and owner’s manual Frame looks good and does not have much wear / boot wear marks. There are some light scuffs where the side of your boots will normally touch The bottom of the bike (skid plates) looks great and can tell it has not had any hard hits. See pics. Sand dunes only, so no rocks All stock decals are in great shape showing that this bike was seldom ridden - garage kept and covered This bike is very nice, and very clean. I would rate it at a 8.5 out of 10. It is in a rare un-restored original condition I do reserve to end the listing early if I get an offer I can’t refuse Sold strictly as is, so please look closely at photos and feel free to ask any questions, or request any other pictures you’d like a closer look at. Depending on where you live, I can assist in getting the bike to a transporter, or of course you can just arrange to have it picked up, or pick it up on your own. Seller Notes: If you are a serious buyer and have the money in hand, I am happy to talk to you on the phone about any questions or interest you have in the bike, but please, no time wasters or tire kickers as I just want to get the bike in the hands of someone that can afford it; I only say this as I did sell this on ebay before, but the “winning” bidder reneged on the deal, so here I am again If you are a serious buyer, it is available to be shown by appointment The bike is located in North San Diego Payment: A $500 nonrefundable deposit is due within 24 hours of closing, or a friendly phone call or clear email on who you are and how you intend to close the deal. I am very easy to work with, but a little clear communication goes a long way with me. PayPal is fine for deposit, but the fee and commission they charge is very high. Cash is preferred for the balance, but will take payment however that is easiest for you: Cash, wire transfer, bank check, etc. may work. In case you are wondering anything about me as an E-bay seller, I don’t have a ton of feedback, but all is positive, and do not have anything negative since I’ve been on E-Bay Good luck on the bidding and happy riding…as if you didn’t know it, it’s still riding season, but barely so buy this thing and get out to the dunes before it gets too hot
