Vehicle Detail

This is a professionally built MGB conversion, done long ago by V8 conversion specialist Glenn Towery. It has a 1961 Buick all aluminum 215 V8 that has been bored 30 over, new Edelbrock carburetor, SS headers and exhaust, 8 inch Mustang rear, custom fiberglass rear springs, and an entire coil over front end from a MGR. This V8 engine actually weighs 40 pounds less than the stock 1800 cc 4 cylinder that the car originally came with. Also has MSD electronic ignition, remote oil filter, and a Rover 5 speed manual transmission with shortened shift lever. Seats are from a Pontiac Fiero, releathered in gray with MG logo by Mr Mike's leather Custom leather dash, with wood panel and high grade German carpet Bumpers and grille replaced with chrome from an earlier MGB, nice shape. Steering wheel is a Motolita leather. Car has power windows! and even has hood and trunk lid struts.I'm told the engine was rebuilt a couple thousand miles ago and runs and drives great. Clutch was replaced at that time. Recent improvements include a brand new top (only up for the photos) 5 new tires, new alternator and battery, and carb tune. This car is an absolute blast to drive- very quick and nimble handles and shifts great. All gauges work, and holds excellent oil pressure. No smoke or issues. Exhaust sounds fantastic- throaty, but not too loud. Turns a lot of heads whenever I fire it up. Paint is good driver grade, showing signs of normal wear as it has been driven about 45000 miles since its conversion. Prior owner drove it to Tennessee, Indianapolis, and many other places for MG club events. Has been featured in club magazines, and is currently listed on the North American MGB registry. There are a couple minor bubbles in the a paint, nothing serious. I also have a roll bar, which I removed, but will include in the sale if you wish Attracts attention however I go. Only selling because I no longer have storage space for it and my health is deteriorating. I'm located in SW Fl between Fort Myers and Sarasota. Car is of course sold as is, where is, with buyers responsible for transport costs, taxes, registration etc. You are welcome to come see and drive the car before the auction ends. I require a $500 deposit at auction end, with balance to be paid by cash or certified instrument within 7 days. Car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I will ship to many countries overseas, but of course the buyer will be responsible for all costs, and arrangements, including customs. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. On Apr-01-15 at 06:15:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention has a fuel pump cutoff switch built into the dimmer switch for the gauges. And a battery cut off switch hidden in the trunk under the spare tire, both to prevent theft. There are two electric fans operated by a switch on the dash, but I've never needed to use them. RELISTED DUE TO NON PAYING BIDDER
