Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1982 Corvette. This was the last year for the C3 Corvette and this body style. The first year for the cross fire, fuel injected engine. This one still has the original cross fire unit and it works great! Starts quickly, idles great and has plenty of snap off the line. The 5.7 liter 350 engine is origional and runs good. Like to be warmed up first, but I do that with all my classic cars. Doesn't use oil but now and then will puff on start up after it's set a few months. Drives nice and tight. My wife and I just took a 3 hour road trip in her without any problems. I owned the car foe a few years then my dad wanted it. Sold it to him and he enjoyed it for a couple of years and then I built him and Mom a Mustang convertible. After that they didn't drive the corvette anymore so I got it back. Had it for about 2 years again now and I just got an 88 corvette convertible which I drive a lot more. This one just sets and it's time to let someone else enjoy her. A great driving car and it's a lot of fun to drive with the t-tops out in the summer. I'm replacing the door, window and t-top weatherstripping today, it's needed it since I bought it years ago. It's amazing how you live with things, but when you go to sell something you fix it all up for someone else. Paint looks good, it's starting to show it's age though. Still shines and looks good going down the road. Don't expect a flawless Barrett Jackson special though. Little things pop up now and then that need repaired. Like the radio and door locks. They worked last fall but now don't want to come to life. If you want a good looking, inexpensive corvette to have fun in and don't mind tinkering once and awhile this one is for you. If you have already owned a C3 corvette you know what I mean.....you have to tinker on all of them....a lot!
