Vehicle Detail
Here's a Rare Old Truck we just picked up at a estate sale. It is a 1967 Ford f100 Flareside Stepside 4x4 Custom Cab Short Bed . We were told this truck was a 1 owner truck . There were only 481 produced in 1967 out of over 230,000 F100's . A Rare Truck indeed , Please see chart below . This is However a project vehicle that will require a full restoration. I believe the truck came with a 6 cylinder originally and some where over the years had a 289 v8 installed which does run. It has a 4Spd Manuel transmission . I did start it yesterday just to see if it would start and it did . I would say you could drive onto your trailer and That's about it before you go over the drive train, Has not been on the road in over 30 years. As far as the body is concerned it is rusty Please see all the photo's . It will need just about every panel cab mounts floors fenders etc. The main part of the Flareside Short Bed looks pretty solid. On a Good note the Frame is Nice and Solid and has the Original Transmission , Transfer Case & Heavy Duty Rears & Good clean Front Grill. Has some funny old school features like that old under dash 8-Track player & The Roof Mounted spot Light , Not mention the Old Gun Rack hanging in the rear window. Looks like he was all set up for a little road hunting back in the day. Heavy duty trailer Hitch & Rear signal light guards , Some solid oak sideboards. This Truck comes with a open transferable registration signed by the original owner, New york did not issue titles before 1973. Very complete Rare Old Ford that deserves a Restoration. The truck can stay here for a month or so , Located in Smallwood Ny 12778. Any questions feel free to ask. Just found the original invoice and bill of sale confirming this is a one owner truck. New owner will receive all the original Paper work. See last Photo, I also have the open transferable registration that is needed to put the truck on the road . Ok I just would like to add I know the truck is ruff But the parts are cheap when looking at the big picture which is the truck fully restored . Then whats it gonna be worth ? a couple points I would like to make there were only 481 f100 4x4 flaresides Built in 1967. Even less made when you break it down , How many were short bed , How many were a custom cab etc. Then ask your self how many still exist not to mention the First year of this very popular body style. Then how many are one owner with the original order sheet and dealer invoice from 1967. ‹ Back to Technical Index1967-1972 Ford Pickup Production NumbersNOTE: These are the production numbers as printed in the Standard Catalog of Light-Duty Ford Trucks 1905-2002 and the Ford Pickup Truck Red Book, 1946-93.
