Vehicle Detail
This is a very clean rust-free Arizona1987 Suzuki Samurai that I purchased from a retired gentleman in Yuma, Arizona a little over a year ago. It was his tow vehicle and he told me he towed it across the United States and Canada several times. Still has tow bar attachment in place and I will include the entire tow bar set up in the sale. Most of the miles that have registered on the Samurai are from towing but I have no way to determine what percentage. The guy kept the Samurai in excellent condition both physically and mechanically. It runs and drives great with no smoking or burning/leaking of fluids. 4WD works very good. He had the seats recovered at some point and they are in fair condition and I have put brand new seat covers on them and they look very nice. The rear seat remains original. Has original carpet, door panels, stereo (still sounds good), clock and two piece removable hard top, which is kind of rare. It's a factory AC Samurai and the AC is working but, honestly, I've never been impressed with any of the AC systems on the Samurais I have owned over the years. They draw too much power from the engine and don't cool that efficiently so I'd rather take the top off and keep the windows down. Of course, my reference point is here in the desert where it is often triple digit weather, I'm sure they cool better where it's not so hot. The paint is all original except for the targa bar which I had re-shot due to the original owner scrapping it on a low tree branch which also caused some minor cracks on the hard top. The hard top had a funky rack mounted to it which I removed but it still has the mounting holes so I was going to fill the holes and repair the cracks at the same time, but never got around to it since I never have the top on when I drive it. The top is all fiberglass so very easy to fix. Original paint looks great with some fading of the original decals (see pics). Mechanically the only issues are when you start it when it's cold it idles high around 3k RPMs until it warms up (about 2-3 minutes) and then it settles into normal idle and stays fine from that point on. Not sure why it does that but never really bothered me enough to chase it down. No other mechanical issues. Body has some minor dents mainly on the hood, but nothing major or that would show up in the pictures. Minor rear bumper bend and missing one of the plastic front bumper ends which are available brand new. Really just a super clean little rig that has not been modified and runs great. Tires are in excellent shape all around. I've had many of these little rigs over the years and sold many here on eBay as well. I've never had anyone unhappy with the ones I've sold. Check my feedback and check the pictures and bid with confidence. I do reserve the right to end the auction at anytime as this may be advertised in other media as well and could sell at anytime elsewhere. Inspections are welcomed and encouraged. There is a $500 deposit due via Paypal within 48 hours of the auctions end. Please ask any questions before bidding. Thanks and good luck!!
