Vehicle Detail
This wagon is a survivor from the famous Lemongrove of Hugh Lesley (search: roadsideamerica story 2206 and also: curbside classic Tales from the lemon grove) where we bought is in 2001.It had been our daily driver until 2013 and has been sitting since then. This original 6 cylinder wagon has been in the hands of a class A Ford mechanic for many years and was maintained according to original specifications and requirements. I will include as many receipts and documentation that I have. The wagon is in need of rust repair and a complete restoration that I cannot provide, sadly, as a city dweller. The paint, rails, and vinyl are original as is the complete interior as you can see in the pictures. If it were to be restored, there's a lot of positive aspects here to start with: body is straight and never any serious damage, all original interior has all components (radio was removed but will be included with sale), the back door gate opens out but not down, and the engine compartment is complete and configured and painted correctly. in addition, the chrome trim is complete, as is the glass, rubber and bumpers. The 200/6 engine was rebuilt by a Class A Ford Mechanic and we put about 50,000 miles on it since the rebuild. More recently, the head was rebuilt and has hardened seats. It was mechanically sound when we stopped driving it but is now not starting because of the battery and I believe the fuel pump is not working. I did just replace the alternator but did not go further (new Motorcraft, included). The car has a Pony carburetor, and recent parts include: larger diameter sway bar, ball joints, spring saddles, links, shocks, exhaust system, radiator, starter, alternator, driveshaft, electronic ignition, and many other parts that kept this car on the road for 12 years. The car is in need of rust repair. All the wood rails are attached and black paint and wood vinyl are original. The interior is original and worn, typical cracks and rips in dash and seats, headliner is ripped, etc. the console, wheel, door panels and related parts are in tact, original radio will be included.
