Up for sale is a 1950 Chevy Fleetline Deluxe 2dr Fastback. This classic Chevy has about a 10+ year old restoration on her and although she still looks great for her age, she does show signs of wear and tear. The car runs and drives great, but could benefit from a tune-up due to the amount of time the car sits. There is virtually no rust on the car anywhere that I could find and all of the sheet metal looks solid and original including floors, trunk pan, fenders, doors, hood and trunk lid with the exception of very minor bubbles in the rocker just below the door (see photos). Please note there are no holes and the bubbles are no larger than your pinky fingernail but I want to mention everything so there are no surprises. This car can be left as is, or you can refresh the restoration and make it a concourse original once again. This car is absolutely the most solid 1950 Chevy I've seen and I've owned a few over the years. It's powered by an inline 6 cylinder engine that purrs like a kitten backed by an automatic transmission that shifts perfect. My plan was to convert the car to a late model drive train (Corvette LS-1 motor, overdrive tranny, 4 wheel disc brakes, etc.) but I have to many projects that I need to finish so its time to cut this classic fastback loose for someone else to enjoy. A late model power master brake cylinder was added to the car (as seen in the photos) but it could use a brake adjustment as the pedal seems a little soft. All the glass is in fantastic shape being all original and roll up and down smoothly. The doors close solid and the weather stripping is still relatively soft. The lights work, the horn works and the gauges work with the exception of the fuel gauge. The polished American Racing "Torque Thrust" wheels and tires are new with less than 1000 miles on them (16X7 on the front, 16X8 in the rear). The car is not perfect by any means, so if you’re looking for a concourse restored, flawless show car then please keep looking. However, if you want a really nice driver quality car to use and enjoy without having to spend $25 to $30K then look no further. The photos are the description, what you see is what you are buying.
