Vehicle Detail

This vessel is being sold by Town of Bourne at auction in accordance with MGL Chapter 30B. She is rigged and floating in the water at a local Marina and must be removed within two weeks of purchase, which, according to terms of this auction, is three weeks from auction end. The reserve is set low. The location and method of inspection, as with all EBay Auctions, is the write up and photos here on this site. The Terms and Conditions of the auction are per the information of this auction. A $250 dollar deposit from Winning Bidder must be received by us within 48 hours of auction close in collectable funds (which means a proper bank check, wired funds, or cash) to our Consignor: Little Bay Boatworks. The balance of the funds are due and payable within 7 calendar days of auction close, also in same collectable funds. This vessel is in the water and must be removed from the Marina within two weeks of final payment. There is a launch ramp at the marina. Winning Bidder must pay for any charges in regards to having her hauled out. There are a number of local boat yards whom you can contract with to remove and store the vessel. Storage fees start at around two dollars per foot per month. (That's $68/month). But the vessel needs to be removed within two weeks after full payment is recieved. The Town of Bourne will deliver a Massachusetts Environmental Police Title at time of full payment. (Massachusetts Environmental Police is the titling agency in Commonwealth of Massachusetts.) The vessel is owned free and clear by the Town. We suggest the boat be put up to check all her systems before going to sea but that is up to the Winning Bidder. Vessel: This vessel has cruised extensively, showing records of diving in Bahamas and journeys back up the East Coast of U.S. She shows evidence of a previous knowledgeable owner including the documentation a new owner would need to continue that same tradition: line art prints of her rigging and dimensions, a drawing of her "Bronze Board" with explanations about everything to do with it. The board is currently in the up position. The motor is a 1993 Yanmar 3GM30F diesel that runs great. The fuel tank is a 24 gallon monel tank. There is an Satellite 406 EPIRB, condition unknown. An Adler Barbour cold plate is installed, condition unknown. There is a 110 volt shore power system installed and a charger. Apelco Clipper 28 VHF Radio installed. There is a Kenwood Communications Receiver R-1000 installed. Furuno Radar system installed with the display mounted on a swing-out arm from cabin-to-cockpit. There is also a Standard Horizon wind meter mounted on starboard companionway bulkhead and an older Kenyon Anemometer below. There are a pair of Anderson ST-40 Self Tailing winches as primaries and there are secondary winches as well. On the port companionway bulkhead is mounted a Saturn compass, in good shape, and a Horizon depth meter. On deck is a Lifesling man overboard device and another life saver horseshoe, as pictured. The boat was fully cruise ready when put away. There is a twin bank battery system with batteries to be mounted in port and starboard sail lockers. We have not installed batteries and had bypassed this system to run the motor, so we cannot determine what does and doesn't work, electronically speaking. There are no cushions (foam or covers) aboard so new Owner will have to start from scratch on this, (a good thing). There's lots more gear including canvas bimini, sailcover, spares, etc., etc. too much to list. In Summary: A recent check of this vessel's specs on Sailboatdata.com shows her keel to be 5200 lbs. lead, a 3.25 foot draft, board up and 7.92 foot draft board down. With her Yanmar diesel and stout rig, this vessel is a perfect opportunity to go cruising wherever you want without a huge investment. Clearly someone spent lots of time and money on her. A check of Soldboats.com shows most of these vessels were sold within a range of $11,000 to $29,000 over the past 10 years. This is an auction and as so, don't bid unless you plan to pay as a Winning Bidder. Also you are going to have to trust the descriptions herein in your bidding choices. There is a vessel survey when the vessel was last put up for storage in 2002 by a Marine Surveyor. At that time the Fair Market Value was listed as $37,900. That was 12 years ago, but indicates this was a viable cruiser before being put up. Winning Bidder will need batteries, new cushions, and to be handy. As this is an auction for a municipality, no other representations can be made regarding the vessel's condition, but she is in the water, her rig up, and engine running.
