Up for bids is a pretty nice 1983 Chevrolet Elcamino. This is a good running, great driving car. It has what I think is the original 305 with an automatic trans. The engine sounds great, trans shifts correctly and it drives down the road very nice. The exhaust sound like flowmaster but not sure, it sound really good.The car has a new AC compressor but the air needs charged and should work. Dont figure they would have put a new compressor on it if it had other problems but cant say for sure. The car has the lights instead of the gauges in the dash. Im selling this Elcamino as true miles unknown because with a car this age theres no way to tell for sure. The interior of the car is pretty good driver quality, the seat isnt torn but is faded a little from age as is the carpet. Dash pad has some cracks but not all torn up either, it does have one of those carpet covers on it.Drivers door panel is torn a little on the top part, passenger side is pretty good. There is a new headliner which looks great. The car has the manual windows and locks. The spare tire is still behind the passenger side seat. The elcamino body overall is pretty solid but has a couple places where a tree limb done a little damage, nothing major except the tail gate and I am including a good one with the car. There are pics of the damage which is an easy fix, no panels will have to be replaced. The doors have a little rust on the lower edge but not real serious. There is one other spot of rust in front of the passenger side rear wheel. Other than that the car is solid and a great one to restore should you decide to go that route. The floor pans are good with only a couple very small spots starting on the passenger side rear part. Again, nothing serious. Frame is very good, no problems there. Bumpers are decent for a daily driver but not perfect. The car was painted sometime ago a different color from original and it still has a pretty good shine and a good buffing would bring it out more. Tires arent much but not bald either. The wheels look really good on this elcamino, the aluminum slots are getting harder to find. All glass is good in the car also. Guys this car is a good running , driving car and it can be a daily driver as is or restore it to its formal glory. It looks good as is but remember it is a 1983 model, not a 2013 model so dont expect perfection. Theres a lot of car here for a little money and if youve been wanting to get in an Elcamino reasonable dont miss this deal. The buy it now price is dirt cheap compared to what some people are asking for junk. This is a decent car, not junk. Ask questions, dont assume anything.
