1997 Ford Expedition Green Running Boards 2nd Owner 2 Wheel Drive Title In Hand. I bought this truck 9-4-01 and I am the 2nd owner. Truck had 45404 miles when I bought it. Truck now has 159,000 + miles. Truck is green as pictured. Has after market stereo and running boards were added. Put new tires on 18-20 months ago. Truck runs and was my every day vehicle until I bought a new car 3-2-15. First, I will list what is good about the truck. 1) I have 2 sets of keys with both door remotes operational. 2) Truck has towing hitch which has seldom been used. Many new parts over the last few years including alternator, sway bars, battery and more. 3) I have owned the vehicle for 14 years and have maintained oil changes and routine maintenance. 4) I am 42 years old and have never "hot-rodded" or "off-roaded" with vehicle. It has been my everyday running vehicle and "soccer dad" vehicle. 5) Truck has been garage kept entire time (except now it's sitting out because I just got a new car). 6) Cruise control works great, but there is a Ford recall which has not yet been completed. 7). Power driver seat still works fine. 10) Heater is strong and works great. 11) Truck is accident free. Second, what is not good about the truck. 1) windshield wipers do not work. They quit recently. Motor runs, but sounds like a gear is stripped and needs repaired. 2) Rear windshield wiper also does not work. Same thing motor runs, but probably a stripped gear. 2) Exhaust is shot and needs completely replaced from manifold back. 3) 1 sparkplug is misfiring (I had tune-up approximately 6 months ago and mechanic could only replace 7 plugs. The misfire needs replaced , but was corroded and not easily removed. 4) Left rear tire has a slow leak. I filled the tire and slowly looses pressure 3-4 weeks and has to be reinflated. 5) AC leaks. Pump & fan work fine, but there is a leak under hood (I had it dye tested) and was going to cost to much to replace, so I didn't. You can charge with Freon and it lasts approximately 10 days before it leaks out again. 6) 1/2 of dashboard lights do not work (left side. Right side works). At night you can speedometer, but not much else. Overhead dome lights sometimes works and some times does not. 7) Rust starting to appear (bottom of doors, trunk etc.). It's not bad. I'd say better than average 97 Expedition. 8) Interior has lots of wear from normal use. 9) Car is dirty and really needs detailed inside and out. I'm sure there are other good and bad details, but I have listed everything that immediately comes to mind. If you have any questions please ask before bidding. This is a solid vehicle for a grease monkey out there that wants to do the many, minor repairs. The engine runs great and always has other than the spark plug misfire which needs to be replaced. I am a private seller and rather than sinking money into this truck instead decided to replace with a new car. I only have one picture available at this time as I am in Ohio and we have been getting about 16 feet of snow every other day. If this listing lasts till spring, I will eventually take more photos and update as soon as I can. I am located in Springfield, OH 45503 which is about halfway between Columbus and Dayton. I am about 10 minutes off of I-70. I really want to sell this truck and get it out of my driveway as soon as possible. Payment in full is expected within 4 days of Auction close.
