My brother and I had such dreams for this classic S&S Cadillac ambulance/hearse when we pushed it in our mother's garage a decade ago. The Caddy is a 1956. The original engine and transmission have been taken out of the Caddy and are complete (but will need rebuilds). We pulled the car out of the garage yesterday to get more photos. The two right wheels were not free spinning. There is rust through on both front floor panels with some small rust through here and there most of what you see in the pictures is surface rust only. That being said- This thing is cool and very solid.. All glass and trim is there and the car is complete (although some in parts). There are no dings or dents in the body and the glass between the front and back is perfect (actually, all the glass is fine with no cracks or breaks). We took the bench set out of the front by have it stored in the building. The caddy comes with a brand new battery still in the box, 4 new classic wide white wall tires ($800 value), the siren that was mounted in the engine compartment, and all four original S&S hubcaps in excellent condition. This is a project that is ready for restoration.
